Nova v2 was the worst tank I've ever owned... delay, then a huge pop and the harshest (painful, unusable) throat hit ever. (on lowest voltage w/ highest resistance head - twist @ 3.2). There were also a lot of times I felt myself inhale hot liquid.

Oh, and there's a rubber piece that is supposed to fit securely against the top of the tank... the only problem it's extremely squishy and pushes to one side, blocking half the airflow and leaves a nice hole for liquid to drip out on the table or in your pocket. Seems like a major design flaw.

To top it all off, a day or two after I got it, it dropped about 3 ft onto hardwood floor. The tube cracked and spilled liquid everywhere. Already bought a metal replacement tank but I'm sure it'll never get used. Bare in mind the way it worked before and after the fall was indifferent... just pointing out how fragile the original tubes are. My other cheap, generic DCT has taken many more falls like a champ.

If my new standard DCT ever breaks I'll probably avoid this one at all cost and go buy some blu cartos at Walgreen's to hold me over. That's how much I loathe this thing.

I really don't understand what people think is so great about this thing. The heads cost the same as a cart so you really don't save a cent. My particular unit was a total waste of money.

But hey... there are a lot of people out there who like these things. Just throwing that out there. :?:

I can't speak for anyone else, but I haven't had any of the issues you seem to have had. My vivi nova 2.5 has been great, giving me a better vape than I ever got with a carto. I will say I don't have any experiences with carto tanks as the one I do have the carto was doa when I got it, and as soon as I went to pop the top cap off the O ring on the cap broke. I know not all units have those issues so I just put it aside and may fix it at a later date and try.

Cost wise tho as I recoil the heads on my vivi nova, it is a lot cheaper than carto's and only takes me a couple minutes to make a new coil and wick. This way not only am I saving money, but I don't have to wait for an order to come in if my last carto dies before it does.

The tanks on the Vivi Nova are very thick and quite strong. I can't even imagine how much of a hit it would take to break them. Dropped mine a couple of times in the kitchen from the counter without any damage, although I was worried about the 510 connector on my PV (nothing damaged). Just recoiled/wicked a head and it took me 7 minutes start to finish at a cost of about 5 cents! As long as I can buy or rebuild these I'll never use another carto again!

Just goes to show how subjective this stuff is. As a newb, these tanks are the easiest to deal with and produce so much tasty vapor, I was OD'ing on nic and had to drop. I have 3 and they're awesome. No horrible problems I read about here. They do dry if you don't tip A LOT and need to be primed but otherwise are awesome. I don't think I was lucky enough to have gotten 3 perfect specimens and think a lot of the hate is very subjective.

I dropped my ViVi nova hooked to my E-power while drunk in a bar and it even got kicked a couple of times and it is still fine.
I'm with you on never using cartos again :)

Regarding the issue with the rubber piece that goes over the coil: If you take out the drip tip while you are screwing it down and notice it slid to the side you can take something (paperclip, pen, etc) and use it to keep the piece from moving while screwing down the top. I have had to do this a few times on my Vivi. It does not do that with every one of them though.

I've never dropped mine, so no issue with breakage.

Well damn. Everybody loves the Nova so much. I keep picking mine up after reading good things, then throwing it back down. It's like the thing punches me in the face. I really want to like it. Mine must just be a dud.

I realize not everyone will like everything, you seem to like DC tanks, nothing wrong with that for you, I however like the nova. The important thing that I think we can all agree with, so long as what you are using works for you then it's worth it.
