As far as I know they are the same. Some vendors call it 2.5 some call it version 3
Not sure what you mean by ego coils, but yes they are rebuild-able. They are very good to begin with and really rock when rebuilt. The latest version is 2.5 and really the only version that should be purchased as the previous versions didn't work out so well.
And by re-do the coil u mean? I see they are selling coil heads for vivi nova. If you take one of those and replace with a the defect one, its a re-do? Or do you mean change only the coil by yourselfe with a material? lol. . i sound kinda newb now. ..
You can just unscrew the coil head and put another in, but some people like to rebuild the heads too. Best of both worlds!
I rebuild my Vivi Nova heads (the replacable part) with NiChrome wire and 100% cotton mesh/cheesecloth.

Hmmmm. I'm using version 2 and I'm completely happy with them. I know others who like v2 better than v2.5. I've never used v2.5 so I can't say, but the version 2 is fine.
well, from seeing the reviews, seems like the v2.5 came with long wicks , the newer V2.5/3 are the ones with the short wicks. If you get the ones with the longer wicks I hear its easy to trim the wicks to your liking. some say the shorter wicks dont mute the flavor, which I guess makes some since the juice doesnt have to travel as long and sort of filter thru the wicks. Some even leave one of the wicks long and trim the others. I guess the longer wicks gives the user a choice. I have made some changes to mine which has really enchanced my vape. I made the vents along the threads larger, just a tad. I also cut the little plastic cap on top of the atty just a tiny bit and sanded down the center pin on bottom just enough so it still sits higher than the threading, lets it sit in better but it still tends to push the center pin on my KGO battery. No problem though I just lift the center pin with a jewelers screwdriver . Just be careful, there are some how to on modding your VIVi because every time you try little changes to take the chance of messing them up.
Where is the air hole on the version 3? I've seen some with the air hole on the outside of the bottom cap. The ones that I recieved have the air hole on the 510 connector just above the threads. The problem I have is that my KGO blocks any air flow when the nova is screwed on. Just to clarify, this is the 3.5mil....I know the mini's are more form fitting with the KGO/EGO. I just want the bigger tank.

youre right, the coil heads arent that expensive, usually around 3 bucks. but those $3 can add up quickly. ive seen years worth of coil and wick for $5 a piece, maybe a tad more. lets call it $15 including shipping. so you can have years worth of material for the same cost as 5 heads. or a lifetimes worth of material for maybe $50. i havent started rebuilding yet, but this is the reason why i want to.
Do they perform bether when you rebuild it? Cause the coils head are not that expensive. . But may be fun to try

The version 3 is has the option for a colored tank, and has moved the air hole to the outter rim of the bottom cap. As best I can tell, the heads/wicks are the same. I have a V3 on it's way, have V2.5 in hand. Will let you know if I see more difference than that once the V3 gets here.
