I have come to love the Vivi Nova and nothing angers me more than buying from a " reputable " vendor representing what they sell as an authentic Vivi... only to receive it and find that it is some sort of cheap plastic peice of junk where the head and base are plastic and coated with silver to look like metal, the threads don't line up and the thing sits cockeyed on top of your mod... not to mention the leaking issue... I know these things dont cost much but it sure does infuriate me that I spend my money on something I think it the genuine article only to wait 4-5 days to receive it and find out it is a cheap knock off...

I'm really sorry this has happened to you. It sounds like more than once. I just got my first mod and Vivi Nova last night. I'm thinking I must have gotten the real deal because I was relieved to find how smooth the setup went. Everything I'd read about the Vivi being great for new vapers was true.

I've read this complaint a few times, too, from posters who were the buyers and forum posters advising someone that they must have gotten hold of a "knock off" because of the way its behaving. You'd think something could be worked out between manufacturer and vendor to help the buyer verify that what they're purchasing is the real thing. At the very least, one would hope that ordering from a vendor who has sold you an authentic Vivi in the past would be provide some assurance that you're going to get the real thing..

Always look for the word "Vision". If it's called a "Vivi Nova" instead of a "Vision Vivi Nova", it's a knock off.
Also only buy them from these vendors:

You know what... it serves me right... and that is exactly why I didn't name the vendor and call them out... I partially blame me because I have been on here enough, read enough, seen enough videos that I should have known better... BUT it was late one night... I was online looking at some stuff, decided to place and order for some juice and didn't want to send in an order for a miniscule amount so I threw some Vivis in the cart... when I got the package and opened it that is when I realized my mistake... so I take partial blame in this whole mess...

thanks tj99959 for that link! i hadnt seen that... all of the vendors i have used are on there and they all claimed authenticity so its good to have some verification

I am not going to name the vendor here because in part I feel like it was my own stupid fault, I will however tell you that it isn't one that I see a lot written about on here - meaning it isn't one of the well known " reputable " vendors we all frequent... I just happened to be out there searching for some juice and came across these guys and the next thing you know I am stuck with two faulty things ( I won't even call them Vivis because I really don't consider them that )

Oh well... you live and learn... at least I wasn't looking for a mod and ended up buying a Provareee ! Ha ha !

I have found real or not.. the only way i enjoy vaping on a vivi is to rewick and coil it. Took my vivi and rewicked with 32 gauge Kanthal running at 1.8ohm and sitting on top of my Zmax at 8watts.. fantastic.. With that being said, i am sorry that this happened to you. i can imagine the frustration..

I think I read that all vendors may not be on that list, depends on how much they buy? I tried looking for where I read that and can't find it right now, and I could be mixing it up with another product. One vendor that I don't see on that list (I may have missed it) is discount vapers. He clearly marks his with descriptions that say if they are genuine or knock offs. The vision vivi's that I got from him match all descriptions of a genuine, including the box, and I am confident that it is a real one.
