VK differences

I've just started with a DSE901 mini and am very happy with the way it tastes and feels.

But I love the idea of the simplicity of the VK. I can't tell from the site for sure, but it seems that the body is thicker than the 901 and that the mouthpiece is rounded instead of flat.

I'm wondering if there is any smaller size available, or on the horizon, or if anyone's transitioned from one PV to the other. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Below the battery mods you will see a 901, kr808, and the 510.

Diameter of the 901 and the 808 are almost exactly the same as you can actually screw the 808 cartomizer on to the 901 battery.

Kr808 has different lengths of battery. I believe V4L will be carrying a short mini size, the standard size and a super long 380 mah battery. Might have them all now, but I'm too lazy too look. The one pictured is the standard size hr808 battery.

Steve has said on this forum that he expects his new shipment of shorty batteries in very soon - with the cart attached, it should be roughly the same length as a normal king size analogue. I just started with V4L, and I am loving it - I can't wait for the new batteries!

Just remember, the shorter the battery, the quicker it goes dead. Not a real issue as long as you carry a charged pcc with you to rotate batteries. Me, I am loving the extra longs! They almost match the passthough - they are beasts! I sometimes use the standard size, but will probably pass on the shorties. I am really digging the extra longs, and they feel good in my hand...

Steve was nice and threw in an extra long freebie with my order (thanks Steve!) I must say that I do love it, but I will like the smaller ones for the stealth factor when I am at work. Yeah, battery life will be shorter, but that's what's the PCC is for.

Thanks for the photo comparison. My mini looks exactly like the pink one, but that's a 510? Now I'm really confused!

The current standard battery from V4L makes the Vapor king exactly the same length as the TW 901 shown above...on the bottom is a standard length 510 so the KR808D-1 in the pic is the *old* short battery

NOTE: the industry standard used to be the above size, now all of them are the "long" style... the current length sold as standard by V4L, cigeasy and mist stix is longer than above....same length as standard 901

I think a more direct answer to your question is:

The diameters of the 901 and the VK are the same.

The mouthpiece on the VK is round and thee are no other factory options.

If you like, you can slightly modify the cartridge from your 901 and use the flat tipped mouthpiece on a VK cartomizer.

I personally don't know of any plans to make a VK style unit that is smaller in diameter.
