Wow 6? Sounds like people should stop worrying about how hard it hits and try to figure out why they are such junk! :)

I know of a few people that have had two die on 'em, I just stuck with it a tad longer!
Before my units died I didn't mind the Vmax's foibles, it's a great device once you get past the PWM "issue" (as I perceived it) since then I've heard about the 30% fail rate and it makes me happy I bought a Provari.

It works as advertised and hasn't failed me, which is all I want.

Guess I got lucky and didn't fall in that 30% fail rate... with 2 units (V1 & V2/R4) that work flawlessly for a long time now. It's not like they don't come with warranties. If you get your VMax from a good vendor they will ship you a new one to you free of charge if it's still under the 6 month factory warranty. I seen one or two vendors offer extended warranties up to 1-2 years.

I don't know I had issues wit my rev 4 vmax... it only vapes when I use my vivi nova tank wit the 3.2 ohm atty on it and I will not complain about it being to hot or putting out more power I absolutely love that lol... I just can't use my other cartos because my vmax won't fire with them I do not understand why all it does is make a buzz sound... when I first got my vmax it worked with all my cartos and clearos over 2 ohms... now i get the 9.99 error or what ever it is... but the vivi nova tank wit the 3.2 atty is lovely... i dont know why it works with this tank and not any of my other tube tanks or anything else but its whatever...

I've only been using my vmax for a couple of days now. My first one was defective, but I'm not foamin about it. I like it, but have to say, its pretty intense. I'm an electronics engineering dropout, so I won't pretend for a second to have any technical knowledge. My technical analysis is that Smoktek is installing an angry little Chinese vaping demon in every vmax at their factory in Schenzen. I am using 3ohm cartos in a tank on mine. I can't go much over 3.7v comfortably. I let a coworker who is a smoker hit it at 3.5 today. When she started choking and her eyes started watering, I did find it completely hilarious. That little demon was strangling her.

The Rev 4's have center pin issues on the atty connector - I'd send it back - it's a very, very common problem with this version and has been known to damage the board.

I'm wondering what fault they'll introduce with version 5.
