Hello guys, I'm new to the vaping community and I'm glad to be here.

I am currently on a Vmax with a 2ohm DCT carto and a 6ml tank.

Using 2 ICR18350 batteries with a Trustfire charger.

I also have a Vision e-Go Clearomizer. (It performs better than the DCT carto.)

I started off using an e-Go non variable voltage battery and upgraded to the vmax. But at the moment I'm quite dissapointed with the Vmax performance. I find that the battery life is pretty short or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Hoping to clear my doubts here.

HELLO! Welcome to ECF!!!

I also just got my Vmax and the battery lasts ALL DAY on mine. Of course I have the other two batteries charged up and ready to go when I need them. I primarily vape a DCT tank with a 2 ohms carto at 4-4.5 Volts. Ar you turning yours up any higher than that? What are the Ohms of your clearomizer?

I also noticed I have IMR 18350 batteries. I noticed your post said you have ICR 18350. That MIGHT make the difference but I am NO EXPERT!

Cheers!

Oh thanks for the reply! I'm actually running on 3.8v when using my DCT. Because if I go any higher, there will be a burnt taste. But at the same time, at that voltage I dont get the same full flavor I get from the clearo.

The clearo is 1.8ohm and I set my vmax at 3.3v.

Does your batteries only last a day? What voltage does it display on the led?

The Vmax takes a lot of power to run properly. You IMR 18350 batteries. The Efest or AW brands have been tested have all the power you need and are the best lasting.

I am using Boge style 510 xl 3.0 ohm cartos and the flavor is great at 4.4v. I use them in a DCT 6ml tank. For higher voltage and better taste use this type of carto which is a single coil carto. These work best with the Vmax. I haven't tried a clearomizer yet but I have some Vision Nova Vivis version 2.5 on the way. They have 3 different ohm heads included and I plan on trying the highest 2.8 ohm first. The Vmax tends to be high power and work better with higher ohm cartos at higher voltage.

There is a great Vmax thread. Very long, but lots of good information. Hope this helps some.

Welcome , but the firsrt thing to realize , no matter what device your using . Dual coil devices sap battery power , at least twice as fast as single coils . It's heating up two coils instead of one . So uses a lot more battery power . Swithching to the proper batteries, and using single coil devices will let your batteries last a lot longer .

i totally agree.... IMR batteries are better then the ICR batteries.... not to mention are a safer chem, and when stacking batteries safer well is safer/better. also to elaborate on what was mentioned about the two coils.... when using a 2.0 dcc you are really using 2 4ohm atties in one. which will take more current to get same performance as a 2.0 single coil carto.

Ah yes, the Vivi Nova, I'm looking to get those too. They really deliver a full flavor. And you can replace the tips and wicks so you can change the juice without worrying of the after taste of the previous juice. And you can change the "tank" sleeve.

I've checked out the vmax forum, yes, it's really long!

I think I might try out the single coil cartomizers for better effect cause at the moment the dual coil is really not making the cut for me.

Can I just ask, whats the advantage of using a DCT?

Oh so at 2 4.0ohm, I actually should run the voltage on the VV higher correct?

once you swap your batts to aw imr or efest imr batts you will notice a big change, check around for those batts and i would get them asap. Remember to always use the same batts in pairs together dont mix up your batteries.

Thanks for the advice, shall look for these batteries and see the change for myself.

The advantage of using the DCT 6ml tank is that it keeps the carto wet with a constant supply of juice and you don't have to keep topping off the carto. A lot of vendors sell the carto in stainless steel pre-punched ready to put in the tanks.

I am using a smoktech dual coil tank with 2.0 ohm dual coil set at 4.3v on the vmax. I personally love that setup, but with the inconsistant carto quality from smok tech I just ordered a RA Tank thats rebuildable. You need IMR batteries for the Vmax, I get a full day out of mine AW IMR 18350. Without using imr batteries the device does not perform as well as it can. Remember your device is only as good as the batteries you use to power it.

as mentioned above the dct are designed to pull juice into the carto as you are vaping. this helps keep everything working and tasting good(no burnt taste).

with the 2.0dcc the total resistance is 2.0ohms (yes it is using 2- 4.0 coils) now how high you go too depends on several factors. how the juice taste at each voltage increment will be the biggest factor, also the amount of amps you device can handle. a 2.5amp device the cut off would be right around 5.0v's anything that can handle 3.0 and higher would be able to go too 6.0v's or higher depending on the flavor and carto performance. now since the vmax is stacked im guessing its capable of pushing some where around 5amp's.

Going to order a set of new batteries soon. It's getting really expensive!! :(

What do you mean by rebuildable?

I think there's a design flaw with my carto! HAHA.

Everytime I check the carto, it seems like the cotton is always dry and the juice is not drawn into the carto. I'm going to try and punch one more hole to the center of the carto hopefully that would help alleviate the problem.

I'm still trying to figure out how the ohms and amps and volts play out.
