Vmod xl with a crown?

Hi everyone. Waiting to get my vmod in the mail. I know I'm gonna put something in to make it variable because I don't care much about variable voltage but I do care about CONSISTENT voltage. I cape 1.5 ohm hh357 and I need 4 v runnin through it. Period. So I was looking at the kick but that's variable wattage right? And 10 watts doesn't get me to 4 volts. So I was thinking of using the crown for its variable voltage capability. Has anyone tried this with vmod xl? I'm going to use the copper tape. Any differences in modification? Anyone have luck with this?

1.5Ω @ 4v = 10.667w Ohm's Law Calculator

The Kick2 now will go up to 15w... I have had the original Kick installed in my Vmod XL for a year now and set @ 10w... That is my sweet spot... You might double check the diameter of the Crown. If memory serves me correctly, it has a larger od than the original kick. That wouldn't fit in my XL. My cover just clears the Kick with about 1mm to spare.
