Much much higher, like Alvin and the Chipmunks high.

(Totally kidding :)) I don't think anyone will know the answer to this odd question

Hahaha

Yeah, I'm just curious because I'd rather stay awake from smoking and start to vape soon, but I'm just curious if it'll do any damage to my vocal chords. There aren't that many facts that date if vaping does damage someone's vocal chords or not.

There's also no proof that it does, either. If you never smoked, I wouldn't take up vaping, either. If you have smoked, then vaping is a great alternative.

...and? People vape for lots of reasons. Just because it's not the same reason you do is no reason to judge. :)

I'm not judging, I'm wondering what purpose it serves in this case. I know people do it for other reasons, and have even supported people using it to curb sweets cravings while trying to lose weight at zero nic. It's easier to answer when one knows what the reasoning is also. It would be great for all of us if we knew what other reasons people turn to it for, more ammunition to use in the fights to come :)

Edit: I also worry that it's people waiting with a net to catch us all yelling "See! we knew you encouraged people that never smoked to start vaping THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!"...lol

Yeah, I hear you. :) For me it was weight loss, and the nicotine helps with that (plus I always liked smoking, I just hated all of the negatives that came with it). My neighbor started vaping when she quit drinking; she started at 0, but moved to 6mg because it also seemed to help her. My friend who has a B&M told me one of her customers is an LAPD officer who also started vaping when he quit drinking. Trading one vice for another, sure, but a low dose of nicotine seems a good tradeoff compared to a drinking problem. :) Some people also find it helps with ADHD.

If you need to sound like Tom Waits, I hear that smoking 4 packs of cigarettes a day helps. I'd be deeply pondering the trade-off there. :)

Honestly, I've never seen anyone in here but me mention voice in relation to vaping. One of my favorite surprises was the gradual return of my singing voice - nothing to write home about, but I'd always enjoyed it, and 4 decades of heavy smoking had left it gravelly and wheezily constricted. It was actually uncomfortable to sing. So cool to be warbling in the bath again!
