Hi everyone:

I am brand new to vaping, and I just recieved my Volcano Inferno in the mail. I read the instructions, and am having problems now that I have it all setup with not getting hardly any vapor.

I put 30 drops of e juice into the edge of the cartomizer making sure not to get any liquid in the center, and then I filled the tank about half way with juice. I then assembled the inferno and turned it on. When I inhale lightly, it feels like a burning taste and I hardly get any vapor, I do taste the liquid slightly but not much. Am I doing something horribly wrong? lol

edit: I forgot to add, the first juice I am trying is the 8mg Pineapple Punch, would the small amount of vapor be due to the fact that the nicotine level of this one juice is on the lower end?

I have and use an Inferno.

Put 40 drops into the carto. After inserting the carto and filling the tank allow it to set for a few minutes to insure proper saturation of the wicking material.

My best advise would be to get a needle tip bottle cap. This makes filling the carto's easier and no waiting for the juice to fully saturate the wick.

Ok, I put 40 drops in the side of the carto, and it looked saturated. I let it sit for a few minutes and have been trying to vape, sometimes I get more vapor than other times, most of the time it is light and if I inhale it burns the back of my throat..I have been a 1 pack a day smoker for 21 years, so I dont think my throat is sensitive...am I hitting it too hard? I am trying to take very, very light inhales and even tried just leaving the vapor in my mouth then tried to inhale. Just light vapor and very burnt, burning sensation when I inhale. Sorry for being such a noob, I have watched as many videos on Youtube as I can lol

Tomorrow my drip tip comes in maybe I will have better luck using the drip method?

I had an inferno kit for awhile. The tube tank is not bad, but it can be picky about juice. I found that dry hitting it (drawing without the button pushed) a few times helped a bit in soaking the filler, and in some occasions, I actually reamed out the prepunched hole so it was bigger or even just punched another hole in the cartomizer. Needle tip bottle caps are also a huge help.

The amount of nicotine should not make a difference w/ vapor. The blend of VG to PG the liquid was made with is more indicative of vapor production (VG giving more vapor, while PG gives the throat hit). Also, VG tends to be thicker and harder to pull through the small hole in the TT cartos. Some claim that a couple drops of distilled water is safe to thin it out a bit, although I was never brave enough to try.

You can make the TT work for sure, in fact I currently have mine filled w/ Fancee Peppered Chocomint. IN any case, I am much happier after upgrading to some clearomizers. The ease of use and performance is definitely worth the investment. There are also better tank solutions available, such as a Vivi Nova (which I plan to order soon) and many others.
