Hello everyone! I have a quick question... Both my instruction manual and the website info say that when my volt battery is fully charged, the led ash light will go out. However, I have another light on the actual charger... When I plugged it in, that light was red and the ask light was blue. Now, both lights are blue. Since the ash light is still on, is it still charging, or is this a new charger with a new indicator light that means its charged (when it switches from red to blue). My instructions don't say anything about a light on the charger so I thought maybe it was a new design.

Any advice?

Thanks!

The charger itself does have an indicator light that does that, but what worries me is that your ashcap light is still on (blue on the charger indicates that the batt is charged, but the ashcap light is supposed to be out when it is). Maybe try swabbing both the battery and charger posts with an alcohol-dampened Q-Tip, then try charging again. There might be a juice film on them that's preventing proper contact (hence the blue light on the charger - it's not seeing that the batt's still there. That light should be red while it's charging). If you unscrew the batt from the charger then screw it back in, it might resume charging as well, but it's probably better to just clean the posts...you do have to maintain these batts once in awhile. Have you seen this vid? VOLT Battery Thread & Charger Thread Maintenance - Smokeless Image - YouTube

...and yes, you can charge these things long before the charge is fully out. It was with the old-school nickel-based batts that you couldn't do that with, not this kind.

Welcome! :)

When your volt battery is charged, the LED will go out. The USB charger itself has a light that is blue when it is plugged in. I have noticed the red and blue light on the charger, but it changes colors a lot so I have never paid attention to it. Sometimes it's red and sometimes it's blue. Just pay attention to the LED on the battery itself

I just got the battery yesterday and wiped it off before charging so I don't think it is dirty, so I don't know. I watched one video on charging but I don't think it's the same one as above, so thanks! You're right, they have great videos! I wish I'd seen this site when I first started vaping!
If it continues to do this, or you don't think it's getting a full charge, contact customer service - they'll be happy to swap out either the charger, batt, or both...also, wiping it off with a dry rag doesn't get the stubborn film off - you really have to use something dampened with alcohol. Don't know if you did that or not.

So just to recap, the charger light is blue when you first plug it in. It turns red when you screw in a batt that needs charging. The batt LED will stay lit up while it does (charger light should be red). The batt LED will go out when it's done. If you leave the batt screwed in after that, the charger light will turn blue in about 10-15 minutes (I usually wait for this to happen; other people don't think it matters). If it doesn't do this, you should get it swapped out. But no worries - they're really good about doing so. :)

Which charger do you have? I had the mega PCC, but then gave it to a friend, so I can't check to see how it works.

I vaguely recall that the LED is blue, showing the PCC charge, when it's plugged in. If you have a battery plugged into it while the PCC is charging, you can press and hold the button to see the current battery charge. Doing this will make the LED turn red. It may go back to blue after a few minutes... I can't recall. Either way, as long as the end of the battery is lit up, it's charging.

When the PCC is plugged in and charging itself, the LED display may default to showing the PCC charge (blue), and require that you push and hold the button to get a quick view of the battery charge (red). That might be what's happening.

(I'm posting with a migraine so I'm not sure if I'm making sense or not. It's hard to think straight.)
