I'm new to the forums, and new to vaping (2 days without a cigarette).

SO 2 days ago... I've decided to quit smoking after 15 years. I'm happy I went with ecigs. I bought the most basic starter kit off of SI volt, and I feel its not enough.. I could care less about battery life, however, the 78Mah seems extremely weak and I'm seeking A much better alternative..

I would like to step up to a Volt Spinner 1300mah with a T3 Clearomizer.

I know I should move in baby steps, however.. I'm ready for more advanced options. I would like to cut my costs down and fill my own.

My main questions are;

Should I stick with my guns and go with a Volt spinner? IS there a better option out there for me or brand?

I've done tons of reading', Allot of people like to mix match there setups with different clearomizer brands... Why?

Why do people tend to favor the SI t3 mini (1.7) over the Large (2.7)?

Right now I have an auto, I was thinking of switching to manual.... But I feel its not the right choice. supposedly, you get better "hits", is this true?

On another note* Its kinda of depressing how I can't post my questions in the more relevant forum topics... And I'm stuck here at new members lol.. Not to be negative or anything ;)

Hello and welcome :) The spinner would be a good choice. There are several types of variable voltage eGos. Twist and winder are other names used for that type of device. You'll get more vapor and longer battery life. Plus you can tinker with settings and find what you like. Do some comparison shopping and find what you like. Clearomizers are nice for starting out. Kanger EVODs are pretty popular on the forum, and you can always read some reviews and ask questions :)
Btw manual batteries are great. You don't pop a lung trying to get a ton of vapor. Are you taking a few little puffs off that volt, before you take longer drags?

Welcome! I'm fairly new here too. Been vaping about 5 weeks.

I started with a kit that came with 2 900mah batteries and was happy, for a while. When one of them started acting up I ordered 2 1300mah spinners. Much better! About that same time I also ordered a Vamo V3 from Fast Tech. Took about 2+ weeks to get here but I've had it a few days now and love it. I use the Vamo at home and while driving but it's too big to carry around. For that I still use the spinners.
I think that the 1300 with the T3 would be an excellent start. If you can afford it, I would get at least 2 of each (an maybe a couple more clearo's). One of the things I've read often here is to get back ups. Then get back ups for your back ups.

As to juice, I would start by ordering sample packs from some of the online vendors that people here talk about. That way you can find out what flavor you like. After that's figured out, go to the DIY section and read, read, read.

Good luck to ya.

Just wanted to chime in here for a moment - you will get LOTS of suggestions, but one of the problems with this forum is sometimes the entire post is not read to the fullest.

First I want to point out that the Volt kit you originally purchased is 808 threaded and many people are suggesting items to you that are 510 threaded. None of the 808 cartos or clearos you currently have will fit on a 510 threaded device.

I personally used Smokeless Image products for most of the time I have been vaping. I purchased the Smokeless Image Spinner 1300mah and it is just a rebranded Vision Spinner only with 808 threads and it will make a significant difference in vape that you are currently use to. As far as the mini vs the larger T3, personally I changed juices a lot and the smaller form factor gave me what I needed at the time. Smokeless Image has recently stated they will be offering many more options when it comes to delivery systems for their products.

If you choose to venture into a Twist or a Winder - most of those will be the 510 threads and you will need different delivery systems to use them.

I understand theres different threading, and ever adapters can faulter battery connections when mix matching threading ;)

I was a stickler for the way my system looked and always wanted them to be streamlined - I never found an adapter that worked and still looked good so I just stuck with the system until my six month anniversary - then I rewarded myself with some toys & a whole lot of new delivery systems. ;)

I always had good luck with the SI products - and the CS was excellent - any problems of which there was only two were handled quickly and professionally.

I just wish I started with SI back in the beginning. Have enough batteries and cartos to last me ... well a long time. SI is a good place to start. Have moved on from 808 to 510/eGO types and still looking forward. Seems this has turned into another hobby in a lot of ways. But look and all the money I get to spend and actual have something to keep for awhile. I've also got the adapters 808 to 510, 510 to 808. Sealed and non-sealed. Alot of mix and matching.

I first take a few small, then take a longer.

My biggest issue is, I don't want to spend $50 on each step.. So you don't believe theres better options past the SI spinner?
You don't have to spend a bunch of money. I started with kr808s and used them for several months. Went to 900 mah fixed voltage eGos and was good for months. It was a massive improvement. The variable voltage eGo really isn't much more cost wise. Stuff wears out over time and needs to be replaced. Those are the times when I think about upgrades. Another plus about 510 threads if you're in a pinch you can almost always find cartomizers in a regular store or smoke shop.
BTW you're doing the puffing right. Maybe if you try leaving the .... end of the cartomizer bare :D you'll get some better vapor. Tried that after refilling my own the first time. It really helped.

The Volt Spinner is good (got a few of them), but I think all of Volt batteries are regulated so you get the same type of vape. The 1300 mah will just allow you to go longer without charging.
Since your already using an Auto, going to a Manual will give to the ability to control how long your carto or T3 is working and provide you with a stonger/longer vape. I think the cut off is still 10 sec. however on the manual.
Why people mix and match.... Sometimes it's leaking issues, others due to top coil vrs bottom (hotter/cooler vape), others due to the type of juice they use which may or may not taste the way they are expecting.
Mini or Large.... If you have an all day vape you like, go large with a couple of replacement heads. If you not sure go mini. Some say it a warmer vape, IMO not much difference.
You may even want to go with a 78mah manual since you are already familar with the auto. Kind of apples and apples.
Every one is different in what they like... But you've read all that by now. Hope this helps alittle.

I have two 1300mah Vision Spinners, a couple of Evods (Kanger), replacement heads and a Joye 510 atty that I drip juices into to taste flavors. Three weeks in and no smoking. I can stay with this for as long as I want. If I decide to get a Vamo or SVD or something a step up from the spinner, anything that fits my spinner will fit that new device. It was worth it to me.

I also am new to vaping. I believe u will be very happy when you get u spinner. I was not getting enough from a regular ecig either. Just did not keep me from smoking. Then i bought a ego VV and wow it was a big difference.I havent smoked a cig now for a week . It is amazing how much there is to learn. I never knew there was so much info and products out there. Good luck on your ecig adventure.

I am also very new to vaping but did a ton of research before making my first purchase. You could try the Innokin iTaste vv/vw v3.0. It has bothh ego and 510 threading, variable voltage, variable wattage, ohms meter, an led display, and it's very compact. I have that along with a Kanger T3S and couldn't be happier for a first purchase. Massive flexibility in a small package is always a good start ^.^
