I am new here and purchased a Volt spinner with a T3 and so far I am very happy with it. I decided I wanted an extra little battery as a back up and something that would fit much easier in my pocket so I got the 78 from volt. They sell a Volt Spinner charger and then another charger for the Volt 78 but they are the same size attachemnt.

Why cant I use my Volt spinner charger on the 78 or do I have to buy a new charger ??

I am also looking into purchasing either a Vivi Nova or a cartotank. Any ideas on which you like better any why ?? and if you prefer a cartotank which are some of the better ones on the market that wont set me back too much.

The threading is different. The spinner should have 510 and ego threading. The 78 has 808 threading. They look similar but they're not. I recently went through that with my local vape shop. I bought a smok spinner and he gave me a charger with 808 threading for it. Then I'm like, why won't this work! Luckily I had an extra charger that did have the proper threading. You will need to get a charger for the 78.

The Volt Spinner is also KR808...it's sold at Smokeless Image. It's not the Vision Spinner (or other 510 brand Spinner). So you can use any KR808 threaded device on the Volt Spinner. Trouble is...finding a carto tank that works with the KR808. I think Vapor4Life sells them? And maybe Madvapes? But I can't attest to how "good" they are. As for the Vivi Nova..you'll have to be sure to get one that has KR808 threading. Gotvapes MAY have them?

The reason you can't use the same charger on the Volt 78 as the Volt Spinner has to do with voltage. The Spinner's charger will be too strong for the 78 and it could cause a malfunction...or worse. Best to ALWAYS use the right charger for the device you are charging. No exceptions. I know I have a bucket full of chargers for my various (and numerous) PVs. But that's just the way it is. Be safe!

My volt vv spinner has two different size threading on it. One is pretty large and the other is probably 808 as well cause the cartos from my 78 fit the top of my Volt vv Spinner. Do you know where I can get an adapter that goes from 808 to 501 for I can get a Vivi Nova ?

You can get an adapter like this 901 to [510] Adapter

The larger threading you see on your Volt Spinner is for your cone, or for clearos with a "skirt".

Oops, my bad. Thanks for the explanation. I thought they were the same threading because it doesn't actually specify (that I've noticed) on their website what their threading actually is, or much of other technical spec for that matter. I wish they would make that information more easily available.

It is a bit cryptic...but on the site in the description they talk about using the Volt cartomizers on their Spinner. Since SI sells ONLY KR808 equipment...including the cartomizers...it's stands to reason. But yes...it'd be better to make it more clear.

lol you're right. It just never occurred to me that it was all KR808 because sometimes I'm not the brightest bulb in the box. :p
