Hey everyone. I just got the poldiac and I was trying to figure out if I'm getting a huge voltage drop. My battery gets warm and it dies really fast! I'm using an Aw IMR 18490 and my atomizer is at .7 ohms. Is there any way to fix this problem?

That battery has a max continuous amp rating of 16.5A. 0.7 ohms will draw 6A at 4.2V so you are well within the battery's capability.

First I would check the resistance of the 510 connection without a battery or atty in it. It should not read any different on the meter compared to when nothing is touching the probes. If it reads any resistance, you've got a short in the connection.

If it's really the battery getting warm and there is no short in the Poldiac, then it's probably a bad battery. Many charge cycles, over-discharging deep and often, over charging often and a couple of other other ways to stress them can do this.

If it's the Poldiac getting warm rather than the battery, have a look at the switch contact surfaces and the 510 connection for oxidation or other crud. Clean any problems you find there.

Good luck with it!
