I am sorry to post here again, but I can never seem to find what I am looking for using the search feature. I gave up on the ProTank. Just could not get it to stop leaking no matter what I tried, and I tried all the suggestions. So, that being said, I am going to stick with my T2's. I would like to rebuild the atty's and have ordered the kanthal wire and silica wick. Can you tell me if it is necessary to have a voltage meter to measure the ohms? Or can I assume that 5 wraps is approx. 2.5 ohms, so perhaps 4 wraps would be closer to 1.8 ohms? If I have to have the meter, where is a good place to order it? Thanks so much for all your help. This forum rocks, and the veterans are so patient and knowledgeable.

Unless you've got a variable wattage device, you're going to want a multi-meter. They're pretty cheap, and they've got a ton of other features that can be useful.
I got mine from the local hardware store, it cost 13 dollars. Even if you don't use it for getting the resistance right, you'll still want it around to check for continuity. That's basically just verifying that the circuit is complete and there isn't a short.

A short on your wrap has the potential to fry your battery...and we don't want that to happen.

Hope this helps,
