voltage too high?

ummmm so I was curious so I tried running my atty off of 2 x 3.7v batteries... it worked for a good half a second.

I think its dead. is it deadatomiz3r? or am I doing it wrong

Check your connections. Also, are you using an old atty?

I also use two 3.7V CR123A batteries on my mod. It delivers great vapor and very satisfying just like an analog. No need to take a long deep draw. I don't think I will ever go back to using only a one 3.7V mod.
You must only turn this on for a few seconds ( 2 to 3 seconds max) so it does not overheat the atty and burn your juice. When I overdo it, I sometimes get juice on my mouth.

I never got more than a day out of an atomizer using 2 cr-123's in series. Like you, most of the time it was 2 seconds. Drop a 4000 series diode in your mod. It only drops the voltage by .5-.7v, but it works for me..i'm on week 4 of 2 atty's i rotate and they're still going strong, knock on wood.

Radio Shack has the 1N4001 diodes. A 2 pack for 99 cents.

it doesnt work when I test directly wiring it to the battery. I think its dead...

can an atomizer die? I've read posts where someone left their manual ecigs on for a very long time, melting the cartridge that was on it...

2 CR123's = 7.4 volts; pretty hot for an atomizer. Reduce voltage by at least one volt.

And, yes, atomizers die without warning.
