Hello and welcome back for my review of the Argus P1 Pod Kit from Voopoo. The Argus P1 is what simplicity is all about in form and function with a feature that lets it be button free while determining the correct adjustment for each vape, while still allowing a fully adjustable airflow control for the user. I think this is the most attractive Pod Kit in this size class I've come across and think you will agree also. Before I give you my impressions on the Argus P1 Pod Kit lets check out some information on it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Packaging may not matter to some people but for me it's the start of the vape journey with a new device and having a good presentation usually means your off to a good start. Voopoo did a nice job in the packaging of the P1 with it resting in a pre-formed plastic insert with the 2nd 1.2Ω Pod, charging cable, very nice lanyard and owners manual inside a black box that sits atop the P1. Pre installed on the P1 is a 0.7Ω Pod with a safety sticker on the bottom coil that needs to be removed.

My first reaction was WOW because of how attractive the device is. I don't use a lanyard and normally don't like a external connection piece on the device detracting from it's appearance but the Gold plated lanyard connection actually adds to the P1's great looks.

Starting out with Pods, as most Pods do the P1 connects using with the Pod by way of magnets that are fairly strong, on the Pods themselves are 4 holes that channel airflow to the coil inside them.

Being that the P1 has no buttons makes this a auto draw only device, there's not even a button to turn the device on or off.

Both Pods are clearly labeled on the rubber portion that is part of the fill port plug. Instead of bottom fill the P1 uses side fill and has a pretty good sized fill port. The rubber fill plug is very thin so don't manhandle it roughly.

A quarter of the P1 shows the GENE. A1 1.2 chipset and it's a look I'm very fond of, the Gold plated lanyard connection is even visible on the backside of the P1.

The ARGUS name is embossed lightly on the front in Gold lettering, even the 4 screws holding the P1 together are Gold continuing with the attractive appearance.

There are 4 LED light bars on one side of the P1 that act as your battery % meter and also show how strong or weak your vape inhale is.

All the corners of the P1 are rounded off which makes for a very comfortable hold, the bottom of the P1 connection to the clear plastic is smooth with no rocking when stood upright.

Airflow is controlled using a adjustment lever switch that when fully closed no airflow is made or fully open a tight RDL vape can be obtained or a very loose MTL vape,

The airflow control works good but is on the loose side so it may come off your setting if in a pocket.

I have to say the P1 is one of the quietest Pod Kits I have tested so far and no turbulence to report just smooth airflow. The USB-C charge port below the airflow control allows the P1 it to be upright when charging.

I wouldn't say the P1 is a featherweight but it's very lightweight being borderline for shirt pocket carry, I have carried it that way with no issue of pocket sag. This tiny little gem charges very fast, for me from dead to full charge takes 24 minutes but it will give you 2 hours of vape time in only 5 minutes of charging, I haven't test this claim though. The P1 really does disappear in the hand.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


I think Voopoo did a very nice job with the newest Argus version in it's family lineup. You already know how much I like it's look but looks don't make a device good. Performance wise the P1 has been working great with no leaking issues or even condensation that I expected to see.

The 0.7Ω pod provides plenty of warmth for me in the P1 and even the 1.2Ω Pod was warm enough for my taste. Flavor is very good on both Pods and gets better the tighter the airflow control is set.

I like it at about the half to 1/4 open setting for a tasty MTL vape, I am surprised at how whisper quiet the P1 vapes hardly hearing it at all. Another thing that surprised me was just how fast it charges from being fully depleted of power. ( BIG THUMBS UP VOOPOO )

I think Voopoo has another winner with the Argus P1 Kit and I do Recommend it for what it's intended for.
