MY REVIEW, OF THE DRAG, MINI, KIT

The kit was sent to me for this review and this is my honest review of both the mod and the tank. I wont be doing a unboxing photo of the kit because I see no need for it but will tell you it comes with a SHORT charging cord, extra o-rings,extra glass (straight not bubbled) , 2 coils a 0.13 ohm and a 0.60 ohm that is installed already in the tank. You also get a warranty card and manual.

    MOD

The mod has a built in 4400 mAh battery and is very light weight and somewhat compact . This smaller version has a great fit in the hand and has no sharp edges
. Colors of the new mods are in my opinion very attractive.

The mod is a fast firing mod with good buttons that are not mushy or loud. The mini has a curve feature that works very good. I tried many different tanks on it and it read all the coils accurately. It also has a feature called FIT 1, 2, 3, that on my mod did nothing but weaken my vape, they mention the fit in the manual but do not explain how to use it or how it's intended to be used. I have to point out that the 510 is raised and will leave a tiny gap between a tank and the mod, I only point this out because some people must have a flush fit (this tiny gap didn't bother me at all). the mod has a raised the 510 to prevent scratching the top off the mod.

The screen on the other hand is a disappointment in direct sunlight, it can't be seen at all but inside it's just OK I wish more company's would brighten up their display screen. The charging cord is super small limiting your space for charging the mod. The 4400 mAh battery gave me 7 hours of continuous vaping with the tank using the 0.13 coil that was included with the tank before dying. I think the mod is intended to be used by people that vape 30 watts or under for a full day of vaping on a single charge. The mod performed very well for me on the 3 days Iv'e had it for review.

    TANK

The tank is very nice looking and delivers a very good and flavorful vape using the coils that came in the kit. The coil that was installed was a 0.60 (24 to 28 watts) that gave a nice restricted lung hit. I vaped the coil at 25 watts and was happy with the flavor it produced .
I then vaped the 0.13 coil (50 to 100 watts) at 68 watts and began to smile (great flavor).
The T2 drip tip matched nicely with the mod. Airflow is great for those that like a lot of air and it can be dialed down for a nice restricted lung hit with no whistle sound. The tank does not have a locking top cap on it but I pocketed the kit many times and never had it open on me. This tank is a little noisy but OK for me.

Are the coils mesh or simple wire? I really don't follow their products that closely. Looks pretty, especially that green with the matchy DT.
The 0.13 appears to be mesh or a strip coil , vapes nicely with very good flavor.

    Thx for the review.

The original drag had some problems with eliquid getting on the board, be it through the 510 or around the fire button, to the point of auto firing. Do you think they improved that with the mini?
The mini seems to be sealed good.

Thank god I don't have any tanks that leak that bad but if you know you have a tank that leaks badly why would you leave it on a mod, or use it at all.
Obviously not when you're an experienced vaper. Noobs have no problem leaking all over the place a few times before they get it right, be it flooding a coil head, overdripping or oversquonking (or simply butterfingers).

You're right, barely any mod can 100% withstand liquid, but there's a difference between not liquid proof and particularly vulnerable to liquid. They sold over 100 drags and 5 came back with the issue so it's not that terrible.
Bad enough for the shop to stop selling them though.

Found this on another review, based off information given to them from Voopoo:”A new version of the GENE chip the “GENE FIT” is installed on the Drag 2 and Drag Mini. This boasts the same quick firing plus the chip is sealed against Dust, Fire and liquid damage.”

Thanks for the review, @bigbob2322. One of those mods I always thought about getting (the original) and somehow never did.

    Anna
I have a voopoo drag. I love it. Its one that i would buy again if anything ever happend to my first one. Only bad thing i can say about this mod is the black finish came off pretty easily over a few months time. But the finish doesnt make it vape any better. It is a major step up from my tpriv, which i always liked and never had any real problem with until it stopped reading attys.
