Disclaimer: I won this prize as part of a recent ECF competition that was ran by Voopoo. As part of it, i was asked to submit a review within 1 week of receiving the device. In my opinion this isn't sufficient time to give a proper balanced opinion of the device. However as I already owned the Drag Mini, I am already familiar with large parts of it. The fact I have been sent this by Voopoo will NOT effect my opinions of this device in the slightest.

Packaging:
As with previous mods I have owned, the packaging of the Drag 2 mod and Uforce T2 tank is very nice. Pictures will be posted at the bottom of the review. In the box you get the mod itself, a Uforce T2 tank, some bubble glass, some spare O-rings, a spare coil along with the smallest instruction manual I have ever seen for a mod. Thankfully we have YouTube and great forums like ECF to ask questions that these tiny manuals fail to answer. Given that this is positioned as a kit and many vape stores will sell this as a starter kit of sorts, manufacturers really need to provide better documentation in these sort of kits.

Overall the presentation of the kit is very nice though and does give a real premium vibe to it all.

The Kit Itself:

So the mod itself is gorgeous. The colours on the resin panels really pop and the curved edges on the mod make it more comfortable to hold than the original Drag. However, the black paint on the frame itself seems to be rather thin and comes off rather easily. It seems a shame to cover a gorgeous mod like this in a silicone skin but if you want to protect the paint then I have to recommend one. After 6 days of use, despite never having been dropped or mis-handled (read it has been sat in my pocket or in the cup holder of my car) the paint on the frame is already coming off. Also the battery door although held on by strong magnets moves a bit in my hand which as a left handed vaper really irritates me.

You can charge this via USB if you wish however I would recommend getting a dedicated charger for the removable batteries. A) because it's better for removable batteries to be charged in a proper charger and B) charging via USB takes forever as they didn't use a more modern USB standard.

The final thing to mention about the mod is that the 510 pin is not perfectly centred and is raised slightly above the body of the mod. This doesn't bother me in the slightest as you can't really see it when you have a tank on it. But people that are OCD about this may find that this is too much for them.

The tank is an interesting one. It seems very solid and I have had no issues with leaking. The design I think is divisive - I really like it, however my other half isn't as keen. She made the very good point that it would maybe look nicer if the colour of the tank itself matched the mod and the gorgeous drip tip. I should also mention that this is an 810 drip tip rather than a 510 wide bore so if you want to change it, you will have slightly more difficulty finding a decent replacement.

Overall the design of both the mod and the tank is very nice. The tank is solid and doesn't leak but the look of it is going to be nice to some, but not others.

Using the Device:

So after opening the box and taking a few pics, the first thing I did was disassemble the tank and put in the N3 mesh coil. I could have left the U2 coil in but I hadn't read great things about it, plus I love mesh coils. The tank was simple to take apart and fitting the coil was as simple as unscrewing the old coil and fitting the new one. However the downside to this is that if your coil goes and you have a tank full of liquid, you are gonna lose it changing the coil. Anyway so I primed the coil and then re-assembled the tank.

Filling this tank is easy as long as you aren't using a chubby guerilla bottle with a short nozzle. To open the fill port, find the word Uforce above the glass and push the top backwards where you see the little upside down triangle. This then reveals a decent sized filling port.

Now I should point out that there is plenty of resistance on the tank and I have not experienced it accidentally opening in my pocket. I have had a Drag mini for about 6 weeks and haven't had the issue with that either so I am confident that this has been well designed.

Once I had filled the tank I let it sit for half an hour before starting at 40 watts and gradually moving up the wattage range. I have settled at between 70 and 75 watts as being the comfortable range for me. Flavour is surprisingly decent especially when compared to the N1 and the P1 coils I had tried in my Drag Mini. After 6 days the coil is still performing really well and I have experienced zero dry or burnt hits.

As a result I have not yet tried the U2 coil, however my other half bought a Drag mini the other day which weirdly came with a U2 coil. She is finding the flavour to be a step up compared to what she is used to, however for me, having tried hers, I find the N3 coil produces better flavour. But then flavour is subjective so make of that what you will.

Edit: the U2 coil has died in my girlfriend's drag mini after 3 days at 55 watts. Don't think she even got 30ml of liquid out of it before it died. Have given her a bigger (non TPD tank) to see whether it was because she wasn't re-filling it enough.

FIT Mode and other functions:

So I have never used temperature control and the coils supplied cannot be used for this so I cannot comment on how it performs. However having gone through the menu, the mod itself supports Stainless steel, Nickel and Titanium coils. And you can adjust wattage whilst in temperature control mode.

FIT Mode - so this is where the tiny instruction manual let's this device down. FIT Mode has 3 settings according to the menu, however there could be more. I don't know, as the manual tells you nothing about it. However having spent a decent amount of time googling, I have found the following:

FIT 1 - this is a lower wattage mode and will help save battery life

FIT 2 - appears to be a medium power mode, allegedly for better flavour.

FIT 3 - cloud mode / fog machine mode.

As far as I can tell this mode is for people who know nothing about vaping. However as it isn't explained in the manual, it makes this mode pretty pointless.

I should also mention that you can update the firmware on both of the new Drags by plugging the mod into your PC. I am yet to do this but will be doing so in the near future.

Conclusions

So I am aware I have rambled on quite a bit and may have missed a few points so will try and summarise the key points below:

Likes:

Resin panel on the mod itself
Love how easy the tank is to fill
Mod fires pretty much instantaneously
N3 mesh coil gives good flavour
Air flow adjustment is easy
Overall really nice Vape
Can also use the Freemax Fireluke Mesh (not pro) coils with this tank

Neutrals

Don't mind the Drag logo - some hate it though
Wasn't able to test TC mode
Slightly off centre and raised 510 pin

Dislikes

Instruction manual for the mod is useless.
FIT Mode could be good - but because of the above it is pointless.
I personally don't love the menu system but that's just me.
Easy to damage paint on frame.
Battery door moves a bit which is annoying.
Flavour from the tank is good but I rate the Falcon by Horizontech as superior.

Overall I really like this kit. It has its flaws, most of which Voopoo could easily fix if they wanted to. Especially the menu system and the lack of info on FIT mode.

Would I recommend it? Based on my own experiences with the Drag 2 and the Mini, then I would say yes. It's far from a perfect bit of kit for me, but I do use it everyday and can see this mod lasting me a long time. My other half loves her Drag Mini and I really think it could be the device that gets her off the cancer sticks.

Please feel free to leave me some feedback as I have never written a review and would appreciate some pointers. Was particularly painful having to write this on my phone!! Thanks to Voopoo for sending me the kit.
