Hello folks and welcome back for my review of a new addition to the Voopoo Vinci family called the Vinci 3. What makes the Vinci 3 different from the previous members in the Vinci family is that it uses PNP coils and has fully adjustable airflow, maximum power output is 50 watts and it uses smart tech to detect the maximum wattage range of the installed coil never letting you exceed the coils maximum wattage capability. The Vinci 3 is powered by a internal 1800mAh battery with a 0.69" display screen with the option of auto draw or manual button activation. Only one button is used or needed because it's multifunctional controlling activation, wattage adjustment, puff clear and turning the device on and off. There's a lot to cover on the Vinci 3 so lets start with some information and then I'll give you my findings on the new Vinci 3.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

For a simple but fully featured device the packaging is fine, I like the space saving method Voopoo sometimes uses placing all the kit contents in a fitted bag that tucks neatly inside the back of the devices plastic holding tray.

The Red to Black gradient color is done nicely and having a clear viewing window for juice is a welcome sight. When I picked up the Vinci 3 I noticed it was much thicker in width than most pod styled device but it has a 1800mAh battery with a fully adjustable airflow system called Mobius plus there is a display screen so having all those features explains the size.

This is no lightweight device but at the same time it's not heavy if that makes sense, it feel very well made not cheap by any means. Placement of the airflow slots on each side of the device is good, high enough so your fingers wont accidentally cover them when vaping.

Pod connection is done using 2 strong magnets that work well never coming apart from the device unintentionally when carried in my pocket. The Vinci 3 ships with the 0.3Ω PNP mesh coil preinstalled in the pod, Voopoo places a protective sticker over the coil contact to prevent accidental firing during shipping, obviously remove the sticker before vaping. The auto draw nozzle is tucked in a corner of the device and sits rather high up. Juice viewing windows are on both sides.

Filling the pod is a easy process because it has top fill via a snap off mouthpiece, simply push the mouthpiece forward or back to snap it off the pod revealing the silicone covered fill port membrane that seals up when the bottle tip is removed, I'm so glad the Vinci 3 has this feature instead of a rubber plug. The Vinci 3 device is resting on the mouthpiece in the picture below.

The Mobius airflow system is fully adjustable by way of a airflow control dial that is located on the front and back of the device, resistance of the dial is great ( not to loose or tight ) and stays where you set it when pocket carried. This was a concern for me because the dial protrudes from the device but I'm happy to report there are no issues to speak of.

Above the airflow control dial it's marked for airflow range with the left side being fully open with a + symbol and the right side being fully closed with a - symbol, below the airflow control is the multifunctional fire button.

On each side of the Vinci 3 are 4 airflow slots of different sizes that can be adjusted forward or back to give a custom vape depending on your airflow liking, what happens to one side happens to the other side. It surprised me how tight the airflow can be set showing a great seal of the pod to the device. On the left side of the device below the airflow inlets is where the charge port is located.

I really appreciate it when a manufacturer goes the extra mile on something like voopoo did with the base of the Vinci 3, you see it's rubber so your desk or furniture wont get scratched up when setting the device down on it, the little things do make a difference to me.

When I plugged in the charge cord to fully top off the battery for the review it was almost fully charged and little time to become 100% fully charged. I was pleased to see the display was bright and clear and I could see all the fonts without having to squint.

The multifunctional fire button is clicky while being mushy also if you choose to use it to fire the device. Being the only button on the device keeps the Vincy 3's appearance clean and streamlined. You will be surprised to know there is no 5 clicks to turn the device on/off but the 5 quick clicks of the fire button actually opens up the menu.

When the menu opens you have 3 options to choose from ( Button Lock - Puff Clear - Power Off ). With each press of the button the curser moves to the next choice, once on the selection you want a long press of the fire button will activate it.

To adjust wattage quickly press the fire button 3 times and the wattage will begin to blink, at that point you can adjust the wattage in 1 watt increments all the way up to 50 watts or whatever your coils maximum wattage setting will go, the round robin feature is included on the Vinci 3 device.

All the information you need is displayed on the 0.69" screen in a grid styled layout, believe it or not The fonts on this small display screen are easier to see than a recent full sized mod review I did. Information displayed from left to right.

    Battery Bar

    Battery Percentage

    Watts Applied

    Puff Counter

Time Of Last Vape In Seconds

I like the small form factor of most pod styled devices because of there size and weight and being able to tuck away almost anywhere on your person but the Vinci 3's size had me worried I couldn't do just that but I found no real problem doing so and actually prefer it's size over small ones, it can still disappear in a closed fist and it feels just fine.

    Final impressions

I really have no cons for the Vinci 3 except for maybe hearing the buzz of ( Pulse With Modulation ) with the break in on a new coil, after about 20 vapes the sound lessons considerably. The only other small thing is that the airflow control can be felt sometimes but that's me trying to find something to complain about it's really no problem though.

The auto draw works very well so much so that I never use the fire button. As most of you know I am a big fan of the PNP coils and have been for a very long time because of the great flavor that they produce and the 0.3Ω coil fits the bill here. Airflow is smooth with no slop or chop to it.

The 0.6Ω coil is good but on the Vinci 3 with it's mouthpiece being thicker to me it changes the way you vape, My personal opinion is that the 0.6Ω coil needs a more tapered narrow mouthpiece, Again it's just my opinion on this.

Battery life is pretty good depending on your vape style and amount of vapes in a day, I could almost get in a full day on 1 charge but I came up short by 1 hour or so always.

Having the ability to lock the fire button makes all the difference on the Vinci 3 without worries of firing in a pocket, and having a airflow control staying where I set it instead of having to adjust it always is also a big plus.

Voopoo has been coming out with winner after winner of devices and the Vinci 3 will be included as a big winner as well, I recommend it 100%.

I would like to thank Nical and Voopoo for sending the Vinci 3 kit for the purpose of my review and I wish to congratulate them on another winner. I hope that I answered all your questions concerning the new addition to the Vinci family line.

    THANK YOU

Good review buddy,as usual a very entertaining and detailed read.

Like you mentioned in your post in the review of another user it seems yours worked a bit better.
Specially the auto draw feature,it just wasn't that consistent...sometimes i really had to really inhale to get it going.

I passed it on to my friend that has the computer shop,he is enjoying those PNP coils.

    Cheers bud

Good review Bob! The auto draw was not great on mine. I had to close it down at least 3/4 closed to get it to work well. Also the flavor was not great for some reason.
That's a shame but as I mentioned to Javichu all of us received sample versions so let's hope that's the reason.
