Hello everyone, today I would like to talk to you about the VINCI Pod Royal Edition, a real exercise in style based on the well-known and popular Vinci Pod 15W. In fact, VooPoo wanted to artistically enrich its appearance by combining refined modern stylistic elements with the artisan style of the relief workings of the ancient Sumerians on metals. So Good in this enterprise.

The "minimalist" Pod version of VooPoo is now updated with stunning graphics and decorations! VOOPOO's ITO atomization technology evolves and features two new upgraded anti-leaking cartridges with a new type of top filling, both the new and old cartridges are compatible with Vinci pod, Drag nano 2 and Vinci Pod Q.

The great success that Vinci Pod has achieved has spurred VooPoo to continue to bet courageously on this project, because there are an infinite number of Pod kits, perhaps too many, but the starter kits are rarely so beautiful! VooPoo declares; "Our original goal is to explore the artistic and cultural value of the Pod as an object in itself, to allow users to express their artistic taste while using the product." How to blame him? Personally, I really appreciate the passion and emotional involvement of these words by the Marketing Director of VooPoo.

The VOOPOO product development team chose the 6061 aluminum alloy used in the aeronautical industry, which boasts exceptional characteristics of strength, plasticity, resistance to impact, use, stress cracking and corrosion. VINCI Pod Royal Edition is brilliantly covered with a panel with special embossed processing. The six products of VOOPOO's Vinci Pod Royal Edition series are all created by skilled artists and are combined with elements that recall various styles. The development of the product required 8 months of work, 12 production phases and 68 different techniques, with 80% of the work done entirely by hand. The products were the result of the collaboration of more than 20 people, including industrial designers, structural designers and R&D experts.

Since each product presents a different relief on the surfaces of the panel, I limit myself to describing the tactile sensations of the sample I received (Gold Leaf) ... "own" an artistic masterpiece.

► VINCI Pod Royal Edition; Led notifications:
The panel with the embossed decorations shows the notification LED at the bottom. The ease of use of this kit derives from the fact that it has no display or control button, notifications are sent only by the LED present. So we see different light signals with different colors and each of them has a meaning.

• The battery is charging: The corresponding light flashes
• Charging complete: The green light stays on
• Under normal operating conditions: The corresponding indicator light gradually becomes brighter
• Low Battery: The red indicator light flashes 10 times
• Short circuit: The indicator light stays on for 2s in red
• Check the atomizer: The indicator flashes red once
• Time out (Cut-off 8s): The LED flashes 8 times
• Low voltage protection: The indicator blinks 10 times
• High Temperature: The indicator flashes red 15 times

The other side panel is smooth and bears the vertical writing "VooPoo" and the horizontal writing "Gene".

► VINCI Pod Royal Edition; AFC system:
In the side profile there is the AFC sliding adjustment system inside a groove. The AFC slider is made of metal like the rest of the body of the mod, This AFC has a limited and well-braked excursion, it can completely choke the airflow for MTL / Restrict, or allow an air passage compatible with a philosophy of vape MTL / Restricted DL.

The opposite side profile houses a hole inside the groove. This small hole ensures a minimum inlet air flow which is necessary for the system to function (in the case of the main AFC set in the fully closed position).

VooPoo reports that 268 airflow tests were carried out during AFC testing and the results were excellent.

On the bottom there is the type-C charging socket with function internal battery vent. The slightly rounded shape of the support base does not allow a safe vertical positioning of the device, however it is not a noteworthy defect, personally it does not bother me, usually I support the mod horizontally.

The compartment / pod is devoid of magnets, the circuit and the system for receiving the intake signal are protected by a perforated and raised pin (anti-leaking). The two electrical conduction pins are floating and gold-plated.

The kit is supplied with two different disposable cartridges, both of 2ml. One contains a 0.8Ω resistor which should deliver a maximum power of 15W (battery charged) and the other cartridge houses a 1.2Ω resistor.

These ITO cartridges are also compatible with Vinci Pod classic, Drag Nano 2 and Vinci Q, have an updated refil, filling now takes place from the top, simply by removing the cap and lifting a silicone tab. This can also be done by keeping the cartridge inserted in the device.
* VooPoo, to limit any spitting phenomena, recommends not filling the cartridge more than 2/3.

The spout of the cartridge is anatomically shaped for the lips, the body / pod has a large transparent e-liquid control section.
During the first use of the coil it is advisable to wait at least five minutes for the cotton to soak in liquid.

The cartridge adopts an updated anti-leaking system. During the Puff, the condensate is collected by two pockets on both sides of the cartridge and will be sent back into circulation by the air flow to be vaporized later.

► VINCI Pod Royal Edition; Final remarks:
It is a refined compact kit, with "disposable" anti-leaking cartridges (ITO atomization technology by VOOPOO), with new and convenient refill from the top. With the battery charged up to the battery charge limit (red led 20% of residual charge) the puff remains constant, the resulting vape quality (coil 0.8Ω) provides impressions compatible with those of declared power (15W).
The device is equipped with a new generation chipset (GENE.AI) with integrated 800mAh battery, type-C charging port and 3-color notification LEDs, all quite bright. The automatic suction in combination with a large AFC aperture section requires the application of a minimum suction force, with the AFC partial the force to be generated for the suction is minimal.

VooPoo Vinci Pod seems very limited in the consumption of e-liquid, a full one (2ml) lasts a long time, with a full battery charge cycle I consumed about 4ml of liquid. The battery takes approximately 55 minutes to fully charge. The top notch design and decorations are an added value.

The Royal Edition device has the same reliability as the previous Vinci Pod model, resulting in improved reliability of the anti-leaking system with top refill, so I feel like promoting it with flying colors.
