Alrighty, I have been doing a bit of research and it seems that as far as bang for buck, the sony VTC series is the way to go. I know that the VTC3 has a 30amp continuous draw, and that the VTC 4 advertises the same but has not actually been tested and that the 5 is tested and I believe it pulls at 35 continuous. Which is best for sub ohming? It seems that the safest you can go on the 3 and 4 is .2 ohms. Any experience? Thoughts? Inputs? I am just starting to chase that cloud and I am trying to do my research so that I can know what to go in on so that I am not wasting a bunch of cash with trial and error. Let me know your thoughts. If there are other batteries that you think would do better, feel free to throw it in as well.

All the VTC series are rated by Sony as 30A continuous. The VTC4 and specially the VTC5 get quite hot if pushed close to that hard, but they take it. IMO the maximum amp limit stated is not a hard number. In other words, the battery doesn't immediately meltdown if you go 0.1A above the stated number. I believe the max amp limit also goes down as cells age and their internal resistance goes up.

IMO you can't go wrong with any of these. I know of none that have vented due to low resistance builds. I've heard of a few that have vented due to shorts and the batteries didn't explode, just got real hot, outgassed and died. Not a safe process, but not catastrophic.

I have VTC3 and 4 right now. I run them at 0.4 ohms minimum, but I don't want to go any lower. I would not have an issue with taking them down to 0.2 ohms, but I would make sure it was really no less than 0.2 ohms. Unless someone comes out with better batteries in the meantime I'll probably get VTC5 next time I need batteries.

Hi guys,

Any suggestions on where to buy authentic Sony VTC5's from a trusted seller and hopefully for the best price possible ?
I have been searching that for the last few days, I can't confirm from what I found if they were authentic Sony's.
Also what is the best charger for them?
I am waiting for the new 30 watts Hana box mod clone from cloupor coming in the mail, although it charges on board via USB cable, but I want to have a charger to have the 2nd battery charging while I am using the mod.

I found them available on Amazon, eBay, and others, a bunch are out of stock, prices range $9.5-$11/1pc, mostly sold in a 2pc pack, some 3pc a pack.
I am waiting to start my first sub ohm experience as soon as I get my new Hana Mod clone (cloupor) and the batteries, I have never owned any batteries like these.
Also please I want suggestions for the best clone for RBA tank and an RDA clone to use on the coming 30watts Hana box mod clone and on where to buy them?

You will never have a problem with authenticity here my friend. Links to both 4's and 5's.
