I would suggest you get an alien 220 and a cloud beast tank with some high vg liquid. If anything will get you off the smokes this will.
Good luck.
It's a very good setup, but my alien is plagued with issues. It still performs great but the screen is dim an I have to adjust the ohms. It reads my 0.4 coils in the baby beast at 0.15.
Have you tried changing the ratio of PG and VG in your juices? There was a poster in another thread that mentioned problems with her liquids and someone asked if she might be more sensitive to one part of the base than the other. If you are running high PG, have you tried high VG in a similar nic level? Does your mod give you the option to turn down the power and use a higher ohm coil for a cooler vape? There are so many variables to vaping that it can take a while to find your sweet spot.
second that the vg an pg levels contribute alot.

Only thing I can add is it was Vuse that got me off my pack and half smoking. I stayed with it for several months before exploring other options. After vaping for a while I wanted to see if I could still use them for stuff like travel (which is how I originally started them, not to actually stop smoking) and they were awful. Having said that, it's still worth the $10 to see if it works for you. If you don't like it there are plenty of other pod options, but it's still worth checking out.

the propylene glycol gives me way too much of a throat hit in the 24mg and still doesn't give me that satisfied feeling that a smoke would

It's also worth trying out WTA (Whole Tobacco Alkoloids) liquids if such high nicotine doesn't do it for you. I only vape 3-6mg nicotine but it's the WTA that scratches the itch for me. I think some of us are more addicted to the other things in cigs than the nicotine...

I'm just worried that if I try the vuse it's gonna hurt my throat too much and I'm gonna end up wasting 10 dollars or more I could've used on something else

That just comes with the territory.

When you first start vaping, you should expect to experiment and try out different things (hardware, juices etc.), to find what works for you. Not everything will be a homerun, and some things will be better than others.

No matter how much you read on any forums, it all comes down to individual preference in the end and no 2 people are the same. You need to test things out for yourself.

I went through a lot of things and purchases when I first started vaping, including a ton of different juices and a few different hardware, because I was on a mission to find what worked best for me. It comes with the territory.

I don't view that as wasted money at all, because it was all worth it, because we all know what the prize is, and anything that makes it possible for somebody to quit analogs is worth its weight in gold.
