So happy to stumble across Virgin Vapor juice & I am anxiously awaiting my sample order. I know I will get multiple opinions but I would greatly appreciate the input from VV's juice regulars (specifically 100% vg users).

When I first started vaping it was the dripping 2 drops at a time method which has it's own issues while driving LOL.
  • Tried the nasty pre-filled carto's that came with my ego kit.
  • Tried blanks that you fill with your own juice.
  • Tried the DCT (?) style before they added the filler material.
  • Tried the Smoketech DC-Ego (huge cigar style) UGLY
I found the carto's to have a very dry hit & the flavor's were so muted.
Then clearo's came along & I tried a host of those....then....the replaceable heads came along :D Been happy every since.

I have seen posts on "punching" carto's, filling styles, boges etc...Realizing that there must have been multiple improvements on carto's that I am unaware of. I like input on carto styles, filling, tips, flavor effects, brands, preferences, how they work with VV's 100% vg juice, tastes, vapor/th, longevity etc.
Thanks in advance! ;)

I thin all my VG e-liquids so they are quite close to a PG mix in consistency. You should be able to use them without any problems in just about any set up so you can choose your hardware based on your personal preferences rather than based on their ability to handle thick e-liquids. Another handy trick is to keep some distilled water on hand. A few drops can thin any e-liquid if it's giving you trouble!

Welcome to Virgin Vapor and I hope you love your samples! :)

I received my 6 sample packs yesterday. I did not want want to put the flavors in all my clearomizers just incase... i had a package of new SmokeTech DC Ego cartos's from ages ago. When I first tried them I hated the dry hit & they are huge cigar like beasts.

I kinda really them with your juice....thinking maybe this is a better way to go with my occasional flavor changes. Keep the regular vape in my clearo's & ViVi Nova's.

I am going to order another sample pack 11 holiday special probably... Are the multi pack carto's on your web site threaded for the ego batteries (T, C, Variable)? The pictures are small....how big are they? Do you need drip tips or do they have a specific tip like the vision clearo's do? Can anyone chime in on DC or single or the SmokeTech vs Boge for me? About how long do carto's last you?
Thanks Again! Love the input here!

DHG, they're all 510 threaded. The Boges are just regular size cartos (about an inch?) and the SmokTek XLs are about an inch and a third. I personally prefer the single coil SmokTeks and they hold a LOT of juice...easily 3 mls. I don't care much for the dual coil cartos, too easy to burn the juice IMO, but its fans are legion, so who am I to say? :)

Yes, as Kitty said, they are all 510 threaded which means they will fit on all Ego batteries. The Boges are about 35 mm, the SmokTech's are about 45 mm. They don't come with their own built in drip tips so you'll want to make sure you have some on hand. I like to pair my drip tip color with specific flavors so I can keep track of who's who! I use the Boges frequently for flavor testing and I find they last a few days but I know some people change them out every day or two and other people keep them going for a week or even two so it varies based on your vaping habits and preferences.

The color coded drip tips is a GREAT idea Annette. now I keep my clearo's in a snack sized zip lock with the juice so I know what's what...not too classy! LOL Thanks Ladies...think I'll try some of those carto's since they are smaller then the beasts I have...having a tough time finding wicks for my Visions since the ViVi's came out....my local shop got rid of them :(

I prefer the single coils smok tech as well and I was a DC carto user before these. DC cartos work pretty well on the other brands I have used but they were 3.5 ml. The single coils are low resistance, so that helps. I would even say that they have found the sweet spot with these with regard to air flow/resistance and capacity. They are also using just the right amount of wick material. The actual wick that contacts the coil. It's not the same as the filler that you see through the top. DC cartos give off more flavor, but at a cost of draining batteries quicker and running hotter. I don't think Annette's juices lack flavor at the lower end. I might would use DC cartos on a regulated EGO, which run at 3.3v, whereas a non regulated ego "type" will start out at 4.2 and run around 3.8 under load, for awhile anyway. The single coil, known in other circles as the "resurrector", is supposedly good for tired EGO batteries, hence the name. On a not so tired battery, a bit more robust. They just have to be filled completely their first time out, but not so wet that they are gurgly. From the droppers that come with VV's 1 oz bottles with her 100% VG, they hold exactly sixty drops, that I apply in 20 drop intervals with a couple minutes soak time in between.

On the clear ones, if I see that the filler is not completely wet out where it contacts the plastic tube from top to bottom, I take a sewing needle or something slim like that and slide it between the tube and filler to break any surface tension or air lock that is preventing it from wetting all the way out on the initial fill. After that they will chain vape for 2-3 days with an occasional topping off.
