Rimp, I picked up Variable Voltage Box Mod a few days ago.
Very happy with it. For $35.00 it's hard to beat. Great way to play with VV without getting punched in the wallet.
They do sell so fast that they tend to run out quickly. The good thing is they replenish fast as well. If it's not in stock, check back and it won't be long until they are available.

Holly,

Does the voltage adjustor have numbers on it with instructions as to what they correlate to?

Thanks!

Lori

Lori,

No, there are no numbers on the voltage adjuster. My next purchase is going to be a voltmeter. :)

I wanted to get the regular VV Splash with the LCD display, but I can never find them in stock. It's cool, though, as I like my
Splash mini.

I need help with this mod. I got it today in the mail, and I was very excited about, not anymore. I can figure out how the voltage works on this, I have moved the dial back and forth trying to find the right voltage and nothing. Little to no vape. Can someone please tell me where does 0 volts starts and how many turns do you have to do before you hit 3.7 or 4 volts. I will really appreciate your quick help. Thanks!!!!

I don't think there's any way to really know what the voltage is without a volt meter, unfortunately.

I'll be honest. I have one of those madvapes VV boxes and really, I don't think you need the numbers or a voltmeter. Really you just need some kind of reference to where you like it. You're usually going to like it with in a fraction of there. I have one of those madvapes inline voltmeters too and it's nice to satisfy my curiousity about what voltage I'm using but, I don't really care that much. I just want it where I like it.

Thank you guys for your response, I got a cheap voltage meter at epo here in Houston, but here is the problem I got, this might read funny but I'm copying and pasting it from another post.

I will appreciate any help I can get regarding this problem. I got a brand new VV mini splash from vapecore.com shan's mods, and a new set of 14400 900 mAh batteries and charger from amazon. I am using a map tank with a 3.2 ohm ce2 version 5. I am running the mod at 3.7 and 4.5 volts. Now, here is the problem, I fully charge the batteries they will read 4.18 volts when fully charge; pop them in the mod and vape for about 3 hours then is dead. I check the batteries and one reads 3.85 volts but the other one reads 2.4 volts or so, then no more vapor or very little. Why is only one battery being drained but the other one isn't? Do you think is the battery or is it the mod? Is this normal? I am heavy vaper (4 - 5 ml a day) how long should I expect the batteries to last vaping like I do? Thank you very much for any help you can provide!

I have quite a few VV boxes: Big Splash (the larger box with the digital voltage indicator on the bottom) by Shan, 3 Madvapes VV boxes (I love them), and the entire VV "family" from Ken's Box Mods---Little Sister, 2 Big Brothers, and a vari-cool Big Daddy.

From your description, one of your 14500 batteries might be defective. Using a VV powered by two 14500s at the voltages you mentioned should provide more than three hours per charge cycle. That's hard to say with certainty, however, since you're a heavy vaper using just that one VV box. I'd think you might get 4-5 hours per charge. The fact that one battery is completely drained to the point of protection circuitry shutting it down is suspicious, though.

Did you buy just TWO batteries? What a pain that must be---being unable to vape while waiting for your only pair of batteries to recharge. I have 24 14500s because 8 of my mod boxes use them, singly or in pairs. The AW hi-drains are great, but pricey. Happily, however, either the solid blue or red/black flame Trustfire 3.7 volt 900mAh protected 14500s are quite good, although their mAh ratings are exaggerated. They're actually closer to 600mAh. No matter, though. Best of all, they're inexpensive: $4.37/pair with free shipping from DealExtreme, if you can wait the ten days or so for them to arrive from China.

$4.73 - TrustFire Protected 14500 3.7V 900mAh Lithium Batteries (2-Pack Blue) - Batteries

Your VV box is fine. Get more batteries! Four more at the very least. Keep them in pairs and use them in rotation (one pair, another pair next, then another...).
