Variable Wattage has two distinct advantages over Variable Voltage.

#1. Using VW you can change different ohm coils without having to change any settings.

#2. Variable Wattage results in more precise adjustments. Usually 0.1 volts = .4-.5 watts. If you're adjusting watts by tenths then you're making voltage changes in the hundredths.

This is true with lower resistances, but when you get around 2.5 ohms its only about .2 watts per .1 volts and what mods out there adjust watts in .1 increments other than a dna device? I don't know, just curious? I know the innokin vv and mvp adjust at .5 increments and in that case vv is a more precise control

Really?

3.7v * 3.7v / 2.5 = 5.476 watts
3.8v * 3.8v / 2.5 = 5.776 watts.

1.v change = .3 watts difference

That sure looks like .1 watts = .03 volts to me.

Didn't calculate it out just knew that the resistance going up affects that ratio. Doesn't really matter to me except that most inexpensive mods I know of adjust wattage in .5 watt increments and in that case variable voltage is the finer adjustment. Now on my ZNA30 adjusting in .1 increments is fine indeed!:D

Have you ever tried an iClear 30S at 8 watts?

It is very unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend more than 6 watts with that clearo.

I have a VTR, the iClear 30S that I use (on occasion) has my company's Mint Flavor (strong wintergreen). I do not go below 8 with it. It hits hard, but never tastes burnt. The mint is strong enough to choke you out though (even in 0mg)

That would make it .15 volts at a time in VW or .10 volts at a time in VV. VW is much easier to deal with especially for a beginner. No need to worry about .05 volts on her Itazte VV. I've tried both ways and can't tell the difference with my taste :)
