If you are using one mode (say voltage) and you try to adjust the watts all you have done is entered wattage mode. You can't adjust both.

When using a vv/vw devise you select the mode you want to be using. If you select voltage mode the chip inside the mod automatically adjusts the watts based on the volts you chose and the ohm of your coil. The same goes for wattage mode.

Just chose the mode you want to be using (either volts OR watts), adjust up or down for taste, and your devise will do all the work to give you what you are asking for.

There are exceptions, but in general, this is how it works.

I personally prefer to work with wattage. The different tanks I use have different resistance settings - from 1 ohm up to 1.8 ohms. Setting for 13 watts means the mod (IPV mini) does the voltage calculation for me so I get a fairly consistent vape across all platforms. I don't have to worry about the 4.9 volts used for the 1.8 ohm coil being too much power for the 1 ohm coil (about 3.4 volts for same 13 watts).
