How would one work around the odd switch design on the vmod, though? The switch contact completes the circuit right onto the battery. The DNA uses a switch that isn't part of the battery circuit. Has anyone had any success putting some kind of spacer between the two to separate them in order to facilitate the DNA design?

Here is a video of a guy putting a Kick in a Vmod XL. Its a good approach with a little refining.

I've been playing around with this approach. I guess he got a short bottle, because I can BARELY get mine in that space (it's tight enough that I'm worried about the bottle developing a leak). To deal with the switch I used hot glue to glue battery contacts from a flashlight to a round piece of a bottle cap. One on the bottom is wired to another battery contact for the + of the kick. The top is wired to a modified spade terminal to the top of the kick.

I've kind of shelved the project. I don't have any IMR batts and the ICRs won't keep up with the kick AND I'm not happy about how tight the kick fits under the bottle.

Sounds good. I'm going to remove at least 1 ml worth of bottle to start. Then w room to work go from there.

Once the shoulders of the bottle touch it doesn't do any good to continue to trim the neck/threaded area. And the kick still didn't want to fit under my bottle.

I understand that. Im going to remove a mid section of the bottle then re-fasten/plastic weld it to itself to seal the seam.

I was just cruising the Vapage site and...How about using the 4ml bottles from the regular Vmod on the XL to get plenty of room for the kick and then some.

It does fit (I have a Vmod 1.0 as well) but the small bottle leaves a LOT of empty space around the bottle. I'm not sure you could squonk it.

This thread (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-feed-apv-discussion/300224-calling-all-vmodians-what-would-you-mod-3.html#post6437901) discusses using a DNA12 chip. This sounds more promising to me than the kick (10 amp vs. 12 amp limit). :2c:
