I did some of my Christmas shopping early. Back in late November I got a couple of VX2 attomizers and batteries for my dad. I charged them and used it for a couple of hours to get the primer off the atty. I then packed it up and wrapped it and put it away until I saw my dad on Jan 2nd.

He liked it and used it for the four hour drive home. He charged both batts when he got home. The next day he used them for a couple of hours and then they both quit. On one of them, the LED lights up, but he doesn't get any vape from it. The other one doesn't light and he can draw through it at all. He tried both atties on both batts, and nothing.

I told him to soak the atties in everclear in case some juice gunked up in there, and had him set the batts in a cup upside down on a paper towel in case some juice got in them. I don't know how he could have broken them so quickly. And after this long, I doubt any warranty is still good.

What should I do?

Thanks,
~A

My very 1st VX2 battery that I dripped with and killed works like a champ now. It did take 2 months of being set on end and basicaly forgotten about tho. I have yet had a VX2 atty die, so I doubt the atty's are the problem here. My guess is that one of the batteries probably got some juice in it, and the other isn't holding a charge or the charger might be bad. I have had the charger fail on me once before so it is a possibility.

I have no answers for you, but I'd love to know what's going on exactly with the VX2s. No one has anything in stock except atomizers and batteries that are probably just old stock. This isn't just Shawn, but I can't find any vendor with a full stock of VX2 stuff. I hear that they were a lot of trouble, but I've been using these almost exclusively for seven months now with almost no problem whatsoever. I have killed a couple of batteries and one atomizer. Otherwise, I go through a passthru a month (or so). Oh, I did kill a PCC after 4 or 5 months of use. But I don't expect this stuff to last forever.

All I know is I want my VX2 stuff! <stomps feet>

Same here, I've been vaping with my VX2 for MONTHS. Some of the gear is finally starting to go after all this time and I NEED MORE PARTS! No black parts in stock, and no silver batts to go with the silver attys that are in stock, & no auto batteries at all. :(

This is why I should have another model PV for when supplies dry up. Anyone care to suggest a nice good reliable PV to have along side my VX2? I was looking at the M4XXs or the 510...

It does suck that my favorite PV is so rare. Not many people here even know of the VX2/ J118/ 902.

I know it is the same size as a mini 901. How does it compare? What about the 510 that people seem so enamoured with?

Not that I want to change......but we have three whole suppliers that I know of. And if their suppliers dry up, which happens, I'm sure. What do we do?

I certainly hope to find a good VX2 replacement before any sort of equipment shortage become permanent. I really lucked out choosing that as my first PV. I love the damned thing.

A friend of mine got a free 510 as one of the #100 order specials at litecig, so I'll be taking that for a test drive next weekend.

In the meantime, lets not think those dark thoughts...

problem is I've got about 25 attys and maybe 15 batteries for the VX2 already. I don't want to switch at this point. I pretty much live on the passthru at home and leave the batteries for when I go out. Thanks for the tip though, good to know.

Janet, I have about 20 new attys and haven't had a passthru for months. I'm now down to about 8 batteries, and I'm getting a little worried myself. I hate to think of having to toss out the attys.

Ya know..... I could make you one of my "Pipe Bomb" mods for your VX2 for around $4. All I would need is one of your dead batteries for the connection. You would need a DSE601 Pipe battery & charger tho. They aren't real pretty, but incredibly functional for lounging around home. Just saying, DON'T throw out those batteries... I could always use them.

Besides the point that all the batteries I have are still working almost at mint condition, I am a little afraid of removing the connector not quite sure how it can be done with the VX2. If you could give me a hint I might give it a go.
