Did anyone mention no dripping?

I would also recommend not using the straw mod in the cart. It's a great mod but if you aren't careful you'll get juice in the straw itself which will eventually drip into the battery. But the more I use the VX2 the more I realize dripping or mods of any kind aren't really necessary....

Agreed. It looks like when they made this one, they actualy knew what they were doing.

This is my second e-cig, btw, and I feel like I'm being spoiled. My only comparison is the "smoking everywhere gold 3.0," which is a huge rip off, and the VX2 outperforms it in every way, at under half the cost.

Btw, I'm looking forward to the M201 Pen Style review. If it outperforms the VX2, i'll buy one in a heart beat! Also, how does the M402 compare to the VX2/M201?

Thanks

I got side tracked cleaning house and forgot to charge my other battery for the M201. I just dusted the one I was using as well as I was setting up the video camera to do the video review. I'll get them charged and tape it tomorrow. I don't want to give too much away here in written form, but lemme tease you with this....

What do you get when you have a DSE801 penstyle, but it has a VX2 type battery, and atomizer nearly 2 1/2 times the size of of a DSE801 pen atomizer? IT'S A MONSTER!!!!

Just as the VX2 has been called the "New 901", the M201 is going to be called the "New 801".

I promise to keep this review UNDER 10 minutes. Maybe.

Oh, BTW, if this is only your second device, you got REAL lucky. Many of us burned through 5-8 different models before we found a keeper.

That's the impression I have been getting from reading these forums :)

I'm hoping for equal success with the other models up at litecigusa. So hurry up and review them for us already!

no offense to the fan boys of this VX2 (because i wish i could become 1 of them already!) but i really wish someone would send me a unit that made me agree with some of your reviews on this thing...I bought 4 of them in 1 shipment and although im now in the process of either having all parts replaced or refunded I just had to chime in and let y'all know its not always a one way street with this thing. I'm having a pretty bad time with 3 out of the 4 units, and the 4th one might be on its way out after only a day already.

3 bad atomizers that all taste burnt after 3 days use (yes ive been topping off ALOT, mostly because those atomz refuse to wick properly from the cart once the top 3rd of the cart is vaped...they are wasting a ton of my liquid ill say that :))

All 4 batteries dim out LONG before reaching the cutoff point (they dim at an average of 3 seconds...ALL of them)...I have to use the "trombone" technique to keep them lit long enough to produce normal vapor and throat hits. (and nope, i never dripped...i had already read about NOT doing it with this unit before i ordered it)

...and while i received a "box" with everything i ordered, nothing had the original seal or "shrink wrapping".

So out of 8 parts only 1 is working properly out of the box after 3 days...tomorrow is day 4 and the only thing left to see is how this 4th atomizer holds up under normal use...i think it might already be developing the burnt taste but im not sure of that yet. The sad part is that when this 4th atomizer works well I can certainly see the potential that the unit offers...but with so many bad parts right out of the box plus more parts breaking within a few days use, I cant say that the longevity or reliability of the products I received warrants anything but a thumbs down on MY list.

This is my 6th model of ecig and although they all tend to have their little problems and quirks, I've never received this much junk for parts in 1 single shipment, lol....the frustrating thing for me is that I really dont know if its the sellers fault, or if this is just a bad and unreliable model with design flaws or something.

I dont know what to think...cept I aint payin for THIS!

Hangar, I get the burnt taste if I don't keep the Cart very wet. You don't have to, and shouldn't, drip the VX2, but what you lack in dripping on the atomizer, you make up for dripping on the cart.

You're right about refilling the carts after the top 1/3 of juice is gone. So far mine is working great, though. Just as long as I keep the top of the cart wet.

If you chain-vape then you'll go through the liquid pretty fast. However, I don't think you'll go through it any faster than if you drip. The only difference is you're topping off the cart instead of applying juice directing to the atomizer.

I didn't like mine at first. In fact the first 30 minutes of use I was really disappointed and very upset, because the thing barely seemed to work at all. But once I got use to the quirks, it worked like a charm. As long as I have a full bat, and a topped cart, it works beautifully.

Gah, someone reassure me...

I also really want to love my VX2 as much as everyone else does, but I can't say it's doing much for me at the moment -- other than making me re-appreciate my trusty old 901. :p

The biggest issue I have with it is the draw. I can't tell if it's too easy or what, but I have one heck of a time getting a good puff off it. I'm a "gulper", tend to take the vapor into my mouth first and then inhale it -- and I seem to get indigestion more than anything else with this model. Very little flavor, some okay vapor if I puff on it like a cigar, but bleah. If I could taste anything, I'd like it a lot better! Maybe I just got a crappy atomizer? It seems to get plenty hot, but I'm not seeing plumes of smoke like in the videos.

The battery life does seem better, but that could also be because I actually avoid smoking this dratted thing. I'm using it as my "out and about" e-cig because it really is reliable and long lasting, just not pleasant. The carts last longer than my 901, and I do love that this doesn't leak like my 901 is prone to do.

I'd love some suggestions as to how to make it work better for me -- I'm forcing myself to keep smoking on it to try and break in the atomizer, but I'm starting to wonder if it will ever be worth it. Maybe the promised manual batteries, when they become available, will make it better? I'll hold out hope...

So after about a week of viewing the message board here i decided to take the plunge.

I ordered a VX2 deluxe starter kit from litecigusa, along with an extra atomizer, some empty carts, and 5 varieties of liquid. I also placed an order for additional liquid from east mall.

I am patiently waiting for my delivery. At the moment I smoke about a pack of analogues a day, and i hope the VX2 will replace that habit.

I have a few questions that i have not found definite answers to. One question is, how often to i need to replace the atomizer? I ordered one extra and was wondering how long the two from this order will last me. Also, I work 10 hour shifts at work, how many carts/batteries will i need to last the day, assuming i usually have about 1 cigg break every 2 hours, sometimes more depending on business.

I cant wait to try this whole e-cig experience!!

OK, you nearly made me order the J118. Damn, yet another thing to spend my money! Seriously, nice and informative review. One question, though. I’ve got some 801, 901/4075, 401, 510. I dismiss the 801 for it’s cold vapour, by far prefer the 510 for it’s performace, like the 901/4075 for it’s robustness and the 401 whistele for it’s simplicity, light draw and size (with smaller 402/3 batteries). For me, the main drawback of the 510 is the high amount of condensate built up, requiring constant draining, and fluid leakage. I’m all willing to trade a -slightly- lower performence than the 510 for less condensate and less leakage. Question, therefore, did you experience any problem of leakage or fluid spill connected to the J118? And, about the J188 cart design, is this one piece or has it a separate fluid container (such as 801, RN4075)? Any problems with refilling and topping up or is it easy going? Thx.

Tom - I like the J118 carts, when I want to hang a cig from my mouth. But, I usually wind up using them on my 510, and not the J118 right now. The foil is actually sort of annoying, it's glued on quite well, good for cart 'freshness' if you like the OE cart liquid, annoying to remove it all, however..and there are no 'end caps' available for the J118 carts that I've seen, although a 510 cap 'sort of' fits.

Two piece carts. I do like the PCC, but have yet to get a 510 comparable throat hit from mine, and the batteries if you DO hang from your mouth, generally will activate the attys just from the minor (open mouthed even) breathing you do - they're quite sensitive.

I haven't had a problem with leakage on the J118, but also haven't had one with my 510s, either.

The draw on the J118 is much lighter than the 510, too light for me personally.

I don't smoke, but I wanted to get my dad one of these so that maybe he'd stop smoking.

How much would you recommend this to someone who's never used a electronic one before? (It's father's day present). It's either this one or a 901.

I'm not really sure how he enjoys his cigarettes, but he exclusively smokes '555' brand, about half a pack a day. Those cartons cost $80, so I'm sure this electronic cigarette would help bunches.

On a side note, does anyone know where I could find a liquid that tastes like 555?
