Hello hello,

Just waiting for the postman to arrive with my first proper device. I already have a starter kit from a small UK company, so I know that I love vaping, but the battery life on it was pathetic and I am a heavy user.

Think there is a delay on the juices which I ordered from another company, but at least a small amount is coming with the device itself.

Mainly here to learn about mixology and exchange recipes so really looking forward to the arrival of the juices. Went for some premixed florals just to start and a couple of other flavours. I've always been interested in perfumery and aromatherapy, so exploring flavour really appeals to me.

Also keen to find out about fellow vapers in the Isle of Man

Been lurking here for a while and love the friendly atmosphere.

You'll definately have to check out the DIY eliquid forum...and once you get up to 5 posts you can post in that forum as well.
I've been a DIY person for most of my vaping life...which isn't too long, just alittle over 3 months, but DIY is the way to go! That way you never have to worry about running out of juice, or not liking what you've ordered.

It's a Joyetech ego-t 1000 mAh usb passthrough with the standard accessories, ordered from The Vapour Store in Ireland. I gather that the ego-t cannot be shipped to the UK, but the IoM is a separate country and it is allowed here.

Not sure how well the cartridges and tanks will suit my needs, hence just plumping for the standard compatible Joyetch bits, but I got very confused by all the conflicting information on different websites.

Meantime the juices have arrived so I guess it'll be tomorrow before I can crack into them. They do smell nice though!

That's a much better device than a ciggie lookalike ;D However, the T tank systems are known to leak & sometimes not wick well, so you may be better off buying some boge 510 cartomisers to try with it.

Thanks for the info. I'll try those if the Joyetech bits don't suit. I think the site I ordered from carry Boge stuff as well. Are all Boge 510's compatible?

It would be great if more of the websites gave proper compatibility information - I have looked at stacks of them over the past few months and found it few that gave me enough information to place an order with confidence.

Welcome! I have the ego C and I love it. I don't have a problem with tanks leaking, but I prefer the Vision Stardust cartos because they give better flavor and I can fill a bunch of them and easily switch between flavors. Not everyone likes the Stardusts, but they work well for me.

Good luck finding what works for you. Ask a lot of questions on here. There are so many friendly people eager to answer and discuss options.

Gah, it must be delayed in customs or something as it still hasn't arrived. Hopefully it'll be here on Monday.

Been looking into cartomisers thanks to your suggestions. I may not need them but if I do I'll probably get a little selection to test out. Taklope.fr have a good range of them and lots of pretty drip tips, with reasonable compatibility information.

Thinking of getting a Boge 510, a Stardust, a Clearomiser, a dual coil transparent and a Smokeymiser. Should find something in that lot which suits.

Have also tracked down spare 1000mAh usb passthrough batteries in metallic green and metallic blue from wordupcig, so if the first lot suit I may get those.

It arrived this morning

Extremely happy with it. Tanks (ego-t cylinder B type) don't seem to be leaking. Testing out the low resistance atomiser and it's lovely. Have yet to try the standard one (didn't spot the LR mark until I swapped out a tank to try a different flavour.

Many thanks to Helen of thevapourstore.ie for the hardware and some lovely vanilla juice. Thanks also to Decadent Vapours - the ylang ylang juice is very cheering and am looking forward to testing the rest of my order.

This is such a lovely, smooth, cool vape. Infinitely better than the imitation cigarette version which I had tried. Feels great in the hand. Larger than I imagined (must learn to read dimensions info haha) but looks great. I thought I wanted it in metallic blue ir green, but my chosen supplier didn't offer them and I settled for stainless steel. Having seen it in reality I think it would look a bit ridiculous in anything other than stainless steel, or possibly black.

It is lovely and soothing; a calming experience, as opposed to cigarettes which I had come to experience as extremely ennervating. I have been vaping quite heavily today, but seem to be free of the demented, compulsive chain smoking of recent months.

No more vile smelling carcinogens, no more ash & baccy crumbs everywhere, no more naked flames, no more forcing others to passively smoke, no more smokers' breath, no more manky ashtrays.

There has to be a catch right? I can think of a few minor & easily circumvented disadvantages. Is this just noobthusiasm?

Nope, not just "noobthusiasm" - coming up to 4 years since I started vaping & I still want to shout from the rooftops about e-cigs

I agree, I think the stainless steel egos/Rivas look very smart.
