Wall adapter for 510 passthru

Hi All,
I received my pass thru for my 510 from Eastmall. No instructions for it.
Can I buy a wall charger for this unit ? If so, any ideas what site to check? I'm not getting much vapor and as I've read from other threads,
others are having the same problem. I really don't want to get a Kensington unit as I have a PCC for travel. I would like to see if AC charger will beef it up for office use.

In the past with passthroughs I have had to use a wall charger with a 1000ma output which is more than the normal usb wall plug (the ones you get with most e-cig kits are the common 500ma). A good option is a plug that works with the newer ipods or iphone (you can order cheep generic versions on-line or if you are rich and seriously jonesing go to the nearest best buy or Apple store). HOWEVER, the 510 passthroughs aren't really passthroughs as I understand them. They work off an e-cigar battery so if that battery is charged you can actually walk away from the power for a short time and maybe because of this you don't need as much direct power to the unit. I have been trying this with a 500ma output usb hub and so far so good. Someone else was going to try this and report so hang on for more info.

The battery inside the passthough needs to be fully charged before it will work properly. Leave it hooked up to your running computer overnight and it should work fine in the morning.

true about the battery needs a precharge. Also, when I plug into this adapter if the battery is low from previous use without a charger (using battery in PT for awhile) the red light on the a/c adapter is dim red. Bright red when fully charged. There is a big difference in vapor from an uncharged battery on the PT.

For the price, that little adapter is totally the bomb! I use mine for lot's of cool stuff.

Thanks for the info and link.... i just ordered one to use with my Janty 510 passthru and it should also work with the Prodigy having the 2 power slots is a big plus. I don't like using my iphone plug cuz if it gets fried its too expensive to replace!!

yep kreel - I think you were the one that mentioned this adapter on other threads. someone did and man it's great. When the red light is a little dim on the adapter, I know the PT battery isn't fully charged. I give it a few and it vapes a storm. Nice to have that little light to tell me the status of the PT battery so I don't mess around with topping off, etc.
