I started vaping in 2009, with a crappy gas station model, Obviously that didnt work out too well so I came here to learn about what else is out there. I have tried so many items, looking fior that perfect vape, and I have realized it doesn't exsist. What one person thinks is great someone else will think sucks. Take this recommendation as a suggestion but it really works for me.

I have tried regular attys, lr attys, tanks, clearos, cartomizers, 306 style ect. I always got frustrated. Something would break, or leak, or just perform poorly. My batteries would always die and cause me problems. Finally I have found a combo that is reliable, and keeps me away from smoking. Its not anything revolutionary but I think its the combination that makes it effective.

My setup consists of two parts.

#1 An 1100Mah EGO battery. Not a Riva, not something I have never heard of, but an EGO. Ive tried 5 or six different batteries, and this one has ben the best. I have been using the same one for 10+ hours a day everyday for 3-4 months. It works every time, charges well, and has not decreased its power since I have had it.

#2 and IkenVape Io6 1.8Ohm atty. The I06 from IKV are similar in appearance to 306s, but that's where it stops. These atties are ridiculous workhorses. They last me over a month of heavy heavy use every single time. Vapor is thick and constant, and it does not seem to decrease as the atty gets older. It just works. I thought IKV was going to be a scam when I first tried them, but his stuff is the real deal. I like most of his stuff but this Io6 is seriously the best piece of vaping equipment I have ever bought. I have no affiliation with IKV, I just felt like I needed to tell people how fantastic my experience with this atty has been. I buy two at a time, and that's all I need. Its virtually impossible to have two of them go bad in a short period of time.

Yes dripping can be a hassle so that's why I gave it a 99% trouble free. Nothing is perfect, but if you want a combo that is going to work every day, every time, and ease the constant fear of broken stuff try it out.

Just got my first pair of i06s last week. I've been a customer of Isaac's for close to two years but I'm still on the fence about these. Of course, I'm still just checking out the first one but it seems to have an odd taste to it. I guess it faded a bit as it broke in but it's still there. I'm using the standard resistance one at at a bit over 5 volts on my Infinity Pro and I have a 3.5Ω IKV 901 on my Original Buzz at just under 6 volts and the 901 definitely has a cleaner taste but as you said everyone has different tastes and I won't make up my mind for sure until I try the other one.
Isaac told me that there's a new version of the 510 cannon coming soon. Looking forward to trying that too.

99% trouble free

My estimate of trouble free via the dripping method is more like 25%. But, that's what makes da world go 'round.

Let's see, a provari at home, e-power away from home, a vv ego in my boat when paddling. The ego is also a pass through and I leave it in the truck the rest of the time. I have a usb adapter in the truck to charge it. Just in case I forget the e-power. I use CE2's.
Doesn't really matter what battery I use as long as it can deliver a steady 5 watts. Because I mix my juice to taste best at 5 watts.

I have to agree w/the OP the Ikenvape io6 is the best atomizer that I have ever used. I also agree that is extremely durable also. I am still vaping on the first one I purchased and it is going strong after more than a month. The one I am using is the XLR at 1.5 OHM resistance.

The funny thing is that I have never been a big 306LR fan. I always found that the vape was too hot and destroyed the taste of a lot of juices. This is not the case w/the io6. I get excellent flavor from it. The only atty that gives me better flavor is a brand new (but broken in) 901 regular resistance (2.8-3.0 ohms) atty that has been dripped on. However, to get the best production from the regular 901s I need to vape them at 4.8-5.0 volts and that changes as they get older. Therefore, I need to use a VV device to get that production and the atties usually start fading within a week. They do not have the durability of the io6, nor are they as consistent at producing a good vape.

However, for me, the best way to use an io6 is paired w/a REO. I have my io6 1.5 ohm atty on a REO mini and it is the perfect combo for me. I get great taste and vapor and the fact that the REO is a bottom feeder makes it incredibly convenient. The REO is a rock solid PV and it has IMO by far the best feed system of any bottom feeder. Also the fact that they are gorgeous doesn't hurt either (check out these models http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=24&Itemid=3).

Great advice from acv987 and if can afford it (Minis go for $140, the Woodvils pictured above $150-160) try an io6 paired w/a REO. After looking for around 2 years I have finally found my perfect vaping setup.
