Have you thought about a real BF? I use a Reo Grand with a rebuildable atty. It works for about a week at a time on the coil before needing cleaning.
Tried cartos & tanks & they didn't get it for me. I DIY my liquid, but that's just me. Have used a lot of off the shelf liquid also which worked well in the Reo.
Check out reosmods.com as Robert has several to chose from. There are the best IMHO.

+ 1 for REO. It is an amazingly simple and reliable way to vape and not have to fiddle around with stuff all the time.

Just fill the inboard bottle, put a carto or atty on top, put in the battery and vape your brains out. You just squeeze the inboard bottle to keep your carto or atty moist.

They are not the cheapest but they are well worth what you pay for them. Check out the REOSMODS thread.

Something that just works? You should try a bottom feeder - REO or Boggers are the easiest to get, and work very well (full disclosure-I have 4 of the first and 3 of the second)

The boggers does look pretty cool. I've thought about getting a box mod before, the only issue I have with the REO is that the VV one is SO damn expensive. I can't go back to 3.7v. That also comes back to the issue of tight draw atties - If I could find an atty I liked a lot I'd probably be a lot more willing to get a bottomfeeder.

If that cartos inside a tank 3 days is horrible. I get 2 weeks to a month out of mine.

Have you tried Smoktek single coils from Smoktek.com?

I haven't tried smoketek since I started vaping. I think the last one I tried was on my e-power probably 3 months after I started. Back then I was incredibly underwhelmed with them to the point that I never even tried them again. I guess it's time for another go with them, people still seem to be suggesting smoketek 'round these parts.

Ahhh well, sounds like you're 'bout ready for a genesis type atty,,,,

I'd love one if it didn't cost me a fortune. I've tried rebuilding a nova and a CE3 but it's almost impossible for me to get them working well again. Most of my issue is cramming all that stuff into a tight space though and not having a short - I'm pretty comfortable making coils though. Are any of the knockoffs up to par yet?

Boge had some bad ones go out for quite awhile this year, but seem to be on track now. Have you tried some recently? Have you changed your juice lately in that they're not carto-friendly now?

Getting 3 days out of a cheap carto isn't that bad...........

Doesn't really seem to matter what the juice is - although some are more cartokillhappy than others are. 3 days seems to be about standard though. Honestly I'm not seeing much more or less carto-friendlyness between 60 & 90% VG.. all the cartos are too tightly packed no matter what you throw at it.

Go back to your tank. Get 2.00 ohm per drilled (2 holes) the Smoktek have been coming in reliably for me. Be sure to buy them from smoktech or a very reliable source. I bought an ohm meter (15-20$) to readnmineso if it's way off or dead just send back with follow up order. I do use atties too. Usually when I'm getting a kick from some new flavor. When the excitement dies down I'm back to tank unless, like with last new flavor it just wasn't tasting great and too much throat hit with my atty (1.5 ohm, never again) so I put it in tank an it turned in to atwo day vape FEST..I usually switch around but anyway....I for one would never give up my tanks. I do use Pyrex. I used to use 1.7. Now it's 2.00

I'll give it a try. I actually have to get a new tank - I used to be an avid notcigs's M1A1 fan but lately their tanks aren't working out for me. I've bought 3 new plastic sleeves from them in the past few months and every one has cracked and frosted over on me. Any recommendations on pyrex?

I use a Buzz Pro with 510 cartos every day and I've had my problems with a tight draw. I finally solved it by buying a 510/510 adapter (or 'extension' might be more accurate). I screw the adapter down snug then screw in the carto and it gives a good draw similar to a filter cig.

I used to always buy IKV cartos, Fusions and Platinums when they were available, but the last ones I received were packed too tight and didn't wick well. I started buying Boge LRs locally and they've been pretty good; they hold 1.2 mL on the first fill using a syringe, don't leak and there haven't been any problems with drawing juice up into the drip tip.

I tried the whole 510-510 adapter thing.. is yours sealed?? I borrowed a sealed adapter from my provari owning friend and it didn't seem to make a whole lot of difference. I also modded my top screw so that the channels in the philips head are deeper, but there's just something about the way the buzz top cap is designed that inhibits airflow. Best draw I've gotten so far has been with my 510-801 adapter.

The last pack of boges I got was probably a month ago, and I thought they were still too tightly packed as well. Not as bad as the IKV's, but still not acceptable. Seeing the boge's and IKV's though, I'm convinced they come from the same place. They look identical for the most part and they both have the same QC issues.

I'm really starting to consider one more seriously. I've always known about them and thought they'd be "cool to have", but a box mod always seemed less practical to me for some reason. How are they on-the-go? My buzz goes EVERYWHERE with me and I'd be concerned about the size and juice-in-pocket factor. I'd probably lean more towards the boggerbox just because I think $200+ for a VV box mod is really steep. Again, finding an atty that doesn't feel like sucking water through a 20' long straw would be a must for me.

Any experience with the VVPV from notcigs too? Now that I'm thinking about boxmods it might be a consideration, I always thought they looked like toys though.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, you guys are getting the wheels turning!

Try a Kanger T3. The only clearo I'll use anymore. Hated the stardust. Hated the phoenix. Loving this thing. It's not 510, but eGo threaded, so I'm not sure if you'll need a 510-eGo adapter for your Buzzpro. Will be worth it. Fill it and forget it. I have 4 of them going at all times with 4 different juices. No hassle, which is now the most important thing to me.

I've actually been really interested in trying those. How do they perform? I'm just worried that they'll either leak or not wick well in the end. I'm also really wary of them being dry-hitters too. Pretty much worried about all the regular clearo issues - some of the clearo styles I've tried lately have been better in some areas, but none have been truly "fill and go". I have a few 510-ego adapters already from when I was in stardust land for a day (before I realized how truly awful they are!).

I buy mine from theecig 6ml tall chrome caps and the v.2 tip in lavender ( choose the v.2 on top left and more than two colors come up. I have one 3ml same and a cobalt blue with delrin plastic caps ( can't see juice and it can be finicky Gonna sell. Think it's the caps) and 2 of the 6 ml talls chrome caps. I'm looking at Valley Vapes ( sent my questions in re flanged or non flanged cartos ) and IBTanked due to many recommendations. They both will answer. I just bought 30 PUNCHED 510 Platinum cartos (mega size is the 45 mm tall for the 6 ml) standard resistance. Again from a recommendation on ecf. From devout tank user. So they are at ikenvape and happen to be in stock today. I know they will work fine and maybe be awesome so I bought 30 for discount per units and used ecf5 for discount then it came to just over 50$ and that got free shipping.

I also love the T3. Its simple. fill it and forget it. I have 10 going in rotation right now. for dripping, these igo-L drippers I just got are amazing. Hassle free. 5 minutes to build and even holds juice so you dont have to fill it too often and no leaks. You don't even have to screw on the top to adjust air flow. The cap is held on with grommets. its pretty sweet. They are pretty ugly though.

Thanks for starting this thread exodus. I'm in the exact same boat. Approaching 2 years of vaping and completely cigarette free. Would have been happy with Boge 2.0s for the rest of my life but they went to crap. Same with the Smoktech 1.7 Resurrectors. Tried Stardusts, Vivis, Clearos of several versions. Nothing but problems. Wasted massive amounts of juice. Feel like a fricking beginner again.

Currently I'm having fairly good luck with the T3s but depending on the liquid they *may* require some tinkering. There is a very informative thread on the T3. It is long but has been very helpful for me...

For those who mentioned that the Boges are "good again", where are you buying them?

Thanks, JJ

I've been using nothing but REO's for over 2 years now. My original Grand and Mini have been used daily over that time - they are workhorses, and they go everywhere I go. I have used a number of different atty's and cartos with them, and before I switched to RBA's a few months ago, my favorites were the Smoktech shorty 1.7 cartos. Those cartos are super pocket-friendly, no leaks, and no pre-filling required. Visit the REO subforum here, do some reading and ask any questions you like:

Thanks, I think I'll head over there and see what the deal is. I really don't NEED a new PV, but if it helps day to day then I might have to. I guess a mod a year isn't bad compared to other's buying habits haha.
