Hey Doris,
Glad to see you're still vaping even if you didn't kick the smokes yet, it took me personally about a month to quit after I started vaping but stick with it you will be triumphant :) Higher nic lvl in the morning definitely helps or even during big cravings during the day, like everyone here will tell you even at higher nic level you're still not smoking. I would often worry I was vaping wayyy too much just trying not to have a smoke but the urge for real cigs goes away quickly after a few days of not having any and then it's the furthest thing from your mind, so if it means using a higher level for a little while no worries at all. The 1100 should really only give you more battery life it shouldn't affect the way your atty hits.

I recommend an iStick in whatever budget you want to spend, they make them 20, 30 and 50 watts. And good replaceable head coil tank, any will do it depends on budget and what you like. The Aspire tanks are well thought of, as are the Kangers. If you want to stay with disposable cartos, I think Innokin makes the best. They're still pretty short life, though. If you'd rather not blow the bucks on the iStick mod, Innokin also makes a regulated battery pack called the VV 3.0 Volt. I have two, and carry one as a spare in my car even thought I now vape unregulated mods. You can find those under $30 online on most days. An eGo branded spinner battery is also an option bit cheaper. The 750 mAh aren't any bigger than any other eGo battery, and the 1100 mAh-- my favorite when I was using them-- is a little bigger in diameter but no longer. Good luck.

I second the iStick, I have a 30W, I now run a Kayfun V4 clone but was using an Aspire Nautilus mini for a long time, they all perform very well with excellent flavor. For comparison to what you have now the iStick would last 1-2 days on full charge and I usually use ~4 ml a day. Nautilus coils would last ~2 weeks.

HI,
I tried vaping twice in the past. My last attempt was about 3 yrs ago--still have a bunch of EGO batteries untouched. I'm hoping that by now things are better. My main issues in the past were the life expectancy of atomizers--
Doris

IF your batts are still good you might want to just purchase a few clearomizers like T3S, Protank or Nautilus mini and see if you can go with that setup, save money. Otherwise, egrip, egoOne, eleaf istick, kanger subox mini, sigelei mini 30 watt, etc. all get good reviews and are not big honkin' mods and price point is affordable.

More updates. So far so good with the Kanger Evod2. Found a couple of useful videos on youtube. One was how to do a dry burn when you can't easily see the coils--burn & blow through the airhole works great. Also one on how to "rebuild" using pre-coiled wicks. Removing the "chimney" is a bear but by experimenting on a dead coil I was able to get the thing apart. So I'll be trying this soon. I'm now seriously trying to get off of the cigs--not easy when you've been smoking for 40 yrs. One issue, for me, is that I don't think I get the same amount of nicotine so I've come up with a way to move down on the nicotine while remaining comfortable. What I'm doing is laying out my allotment of cigs for the day & not going over. After 3 days I'm very comfortable again so I go down 1 cig. I'm thinking once I'm down to 1 or 2 I probably won't smoke them. Seems to be working I'm at 8 not bad because I had a pack a day habit. The other thing that's helped is that I now only smoke in my office.

Am I the only one who's become disenchanted with reviews? I don't find it helpful to review using a completely new equipment everything seems to be good right out of the box. I'd love to see some reviews about life expectancy. Say vape using the equipment for a month THEN review. Just sayin.

Hi Doris, Glad its going well for you :thumb: I also smoked for 40 years, almost 2 pad, but the day I started vaping was the day I stopped smoking - just trashed them and this vaping has to work or else - and it did :D

Watch the videos, learn from them, but know that this is a giant money market and the goal is to get us to buy
Good luck

I agree with this. I no longer watch wannabe reviewers unboxing stuff and declaring it great. I wasted to much money on trusting reviews a few years ago and it's just growing into a nefarious business for seemingly innocuous and well-meaning vapers.

Stick with it, I smoked two packs a day for 22 years. I had to use high level nicotine to satisfy my cravings. I also found that having a box mod helped me tremendously. The pen style gadgets didn't cut it for me.

Although you never read this as a recommendation, for me it took 24mg nicotine in my Subtank or dripper to fulfill my cravings. I am only a few months in and still have 2 analogs in the morning. I have made it several days with only those two. With my setup above, I stay satisfied throughout the day. A real smoke taste really nasty to me now.

Keep it up! Whatever works for you is the right thing. I have to agree with the person who said you have to count the cigarettes you HAVEN'T smoked. I spent a few weeks with my first-thing morning cigarette before I could let it go, and that was okay. Still way better than 2 packs a day. Right now, I'm liking a Nautilus tank on an iStick 30, but I also like my cheap iTaste vv3 with an Aspire K1. It doesn't have to be complicated or fancy, it just has to work for YOU!
