The purpose of the plugin was orginally to track monetary donations made to elected officials, it's 100% legal and was really made because of alot of stuff going on in the telecommunications field with the FCC and anti-competitive practices within the top 3 carriers in the US.

Guess what folks, it also works if you look up the people trying to ban e-cigarettes and could help potentically expose people getting big donations from big pharma. The plugin is free, it works on Chrome, Firefox and Safari (sorry IE users). It displays on any web page detailed campaign contribution data for every Senator and Representative, including total amount received and breakdown by industry and by size of donation. Puts vital data where it’s most relevant so you can discover the real impact of money on our political system.

Only drawback is, it is not actually up to date at this time. It is using data from 2012. Not sure if the original writer is able to update it or if that information just isn't released yet, or what.

It will probably be periodically updated, the upside is it's more than what we had last week.
Also alot can be said with just the data from a few years ago, some of these guys have over a million dollars in donations from the "medical" field.
