Hey everyone,

I upgraded from V2's to an eGo Twist about a week ago and I'm in love. This is exactly what I imagined when I switched to e-cigs, I just originally wanted something that looked like an analog in the beginning (we all know how stupid that is). I bought a few dual coil carto tank setups and really like how they work. However, some of the juice I got was 100% VG and doesn't really work in the tanks. I want to try my hand at dripping so I can fully enjoy all my juices. I also want to do it so I can really try the juice before I commit any future tanks. What all will I need to start dripping? I have the eGo twists, drip tips and tanks, but no atomizers or anything else. Please let me know what I need and suggestions for models. I really appreciate any help you provide.

This site is great!

Not sure how your ego is set up, but...if you have Vaped at all you have an atty of some sort. The atty is what produces the vapor. In my ego I had an atty that was pretty accessible; I screwed it into my ego battery, dripped a few drops on the metal mesh you may see (that is the called a bridge), slid my tip on and vaped. With an ego its that easy.

You can get any atty. When I had my egos, I found 1.5ohm low res attys worked best for me. I ordered mine from volcano. The only other thing you would "need" is the atty itself. However, with dripping comes higher chances of leaking. I always use a drip shield on my attys when I drip. They are a life saver. You can check out my empire mods dripshield review and it shows you how to get you set up using a dripshield over your atty. Volcano may be good but you can also go to avidvaper and grab a hh357 1.5-1.8 ohm atty. They are much more expensive but they work awesome. Insane amount of vapor and flavor is on point. Hope this helps

As far as best bang for your buck, I've found the Empire Mods 1.5Ω 510 attys for 5.99 and the Smart Vapes Dripping 1.5Ω attys at 5.99 to be the best. HH357's are really nice if you have the budget for them as well. IMO the HH357's don't really deliver a better vape, but they will last longer and work more consistently if you clean them regularly. Right now I'm getting about 1 month out of the Empire Mods attys which is more than good enough for me at 5.99/each.

I use a 510 to 510 extension with an Empire Mods drip shield to keep things clean (and looking sharp).

Wow, alot of info here. The Empire Mods one looks pretty good. The HH357 looks awesome, but I think I might hold off on it until I get the hang of dripping, I don't want to spend all that money and mess something up. I already have a drip shield in the mail, so I should be set. Again, thanks for all the help. I have gotten completely hooked on building my vape collection. I spend half my day at work reading this forum and looking at vendor websites. I'm trying to watch what I spend, but its hard.

Ive been dripping for years and never used a drip shield... I should probably look into one. I haven't had any leakage problems since I've gotten the hang of it. Been doing it for so long I can't imagine not knowing how to do it correctly, lol. I heard that using a drip shield will allow for more juice in the atty but I would imagine that would increase the chance of flooding. Maybe someone can enlighten me. I am also going to give a nod to the 1.5 ohm Joye atty. I don't clean mine ever and they always last over a month+.

Since you have the twist, you really don't need to go so low in resistance. The 1.5ohm atty works best on a normal 3.4v eGo bat. On the twist you will find one at about 2.5-2.8ohms will work quite a lot better and will last longer.
If you get the eGo cone drip shield, you don't need the extension.

Joyes are great for new drippers.. cheap and easy to use... But if you want more performance try an HH357 atty... Better flavor and kicks azz...

Got sick the first time I used a 357, and I mean real sick! You see, at the time, I didn't comprehend that the huge cloud of vapor equated to a larger volume of nicotine inhaled. If you are using 12mg juice normally, you might think about using 6mg juice in a HH-357.

My favorite for flavor, vapor and economy is an Empire bridgeless 1.5 LR or 1.7LR atty, with drip shield and a sealed shorty 510/510 adapter so the shield goes down far enough without crushing the top of whichever PV I'm using. I drip on ego twists, Provaris, Helix and SB's. Use the same atty set up on all. Atties last over a month under daily use.

This my exact choice for equipment and vaping style. Works great and is very affordable.

Here is how I'd rate the atty's I've tried in terms of Flavor, TH, and vapor on a scale of 1-10:
    10 - HH357 LR
    8 - Empire Mods 1.5ohm Bridgeless 510
    7 - Smart Vapes 1.5ohm Dripping Atty's
    5 - Joye 510 LR

IMO the Empire Mods and Smart Vapes Attys are the best values, but if you have the cash the 357 will give a little better performance and probably last a little longer.
