The first ones that come to mind that smell of SWEET and fruity are Toque St. Clement and Samuel Gawith Cherry.

But that's only 2 out of 100's! I'll just let everbody else chime in with their own suggestions for sweet and fruity, but here's an over view of "other stuff" for ya

hehe
Broad brush strokes to go along with my rather narrow experience!

American Scotch and snuffs designated as a Toast, or Dry Toast are going to be very fine, very dry, tend to have the highest nicotine and due to being fine and dry they are also tricky to take until you have developed you sniff technique.

A good size segment of available snuffs are what are called medicated. This denotes menthol, eucalyptus and other mint oils for scent. Some folks thrive on them but they can be very strong scent wise.

My experience, mellow, reasonably easy to use would be most of the Wilsons of Sharrow snuffs. Medium grinds and reasonably moist they tend to be easier to snuff. I know others are available that would be good starting snuffs, WoS is what I'm most familiar with.

New favorites are anything from the de Kralingse Foundation. You'll find these marketed as Dutch Windmills, Molens etc. But your thinking for now that you don't want a tobacco smell, kinda limiting that but... :)

Dholakia markets several brands intended for the American market, WOW, Blast, Temptation as well as their company name. Large line of fruit, food scents that are very similar with medium to medium course grinds and pretty moist. These are very aromatic and easy to take.

How to snuff:
Place a bit of the snuff, about the size of an apple seed on the web between your thumb and indexfinger.

Or, an actual pinch of snuff is the same amount, pinched with the index and thumb, outer edge, towards the very ends. Very slight grinding/rubbing of the thumb and finger when inhaling rather than simply opening them up.
An actual pinch can require a little more forceful inhale so take care when starting out.

Inhale this LIGHTLY! Just barely enough airflow to pick the snuff up into your nose.
You want it to end up in the front of your nose, not all the way back in the sinuses.

Or, as suggested by snuffin on snuffhouse.org:
What I do, is breath in till I fill my lungs completely just before I sniff so the sniff is extremely gentle, if hardly at all. Once I've taken the snuff into either side of my nose I simply breath out through my mouth then give another sniff of the nose just to make sure the snuff is secure. If there is any snuff left over on my fingers, I simply sniff that as I please because I've already got snuff coating the inside of the lower half of my nose so the rest has something to cling onto rather than shoot straight to the back of my throat/into my sinuses. Give it a try and I think you'll have a decent result with that.

Storage
Airtight food storage like from farberware or Sterilite. Inexpensive really, $2 to $6 depending on size and place of purchase. The ones that have an actual gasket and some form of positive/mechanical locking mechanism. Out of direct sunlight, cool is better, NOT in a refrigerator.

I've ordered snuff from 4 vendors at this point:
The Northerner, Sweden, spendy, 12 to 15 days ship to the states.
Mars, lowest shipping cost of any snuff vendor, comparable pricing but somewhat limited selection.
NicotineRush, I do like this one!, Huge selection, 3 days from Florida to Oregon.
Toque Shop, Free shipping worldwide, price per gram is good, Toque products only.

couple of questions:
1. i like flavors- fruity/sweet. prefer non tabacco flavors- any recommendations?
2. where should i order from?
3. anything else i should know?

Welcome to the south-side of the forums, Devo! Snuff is definitely an awesome hobby, a great alternative to smoking, and works wonders to supplement with vaping.

first thing to recommend, is to check out snuffreviews.com before you order any snuff, there are a lot of great reviews and it'll give you an idea of what you're ordering.

When it comes to where to order from, i always order from nicotinerush.com
Mrsnuff.com is also a great source
same with northerner.com

For fruity flavors, I have a lot of favorites, i'll just name a few:
McCrystals Apricot
Toque Pomegranate
Toque Raspberry
Toque Lime Toast
Wilsons of Sharrow Apricot
Samuel Gawith Raspberry
Poschl Ozona Orange

There are literally hundreds of snuff choices, and since they're so cheap, it doesn't hurt to order a variety. There are different types of snuff, scotches, schmaltzers, toasts, etc. There are also menthol and non-menthol snuffs. I was never a menthol smoker or vaper, but menthol snuffs are a different story...

I recommend also buying a few handkerchiefs, since you will be putting these brown powders in your nose...it has to come out somehow... Dark hankies work best, so that your brown boogers don't seem to shocking :D

You can order snuff in larger tins, or small bullets. Bullets are nice for travel: they portion out a sniff for you and you sniff it right from the bottle. From the tins, you can pinch, spoon, or sniff off the back of your hand; it's all personal preference.

Browse this subforum, snuff reviews, and the different supplier websites, and keep the questions coming! Welcome to snuff!

i haven't stored any snuffs in the fridge, but i know some bulk buyers will store snuff in freezer bags in the freezer/fridge. the air in the fridge is extremely dry, so i guess it will eventually dry out your snuffs more than desired. it is possible to rehydrate snuff, but it'll require some additional effort. i think the fridge will also make your snuffs clump up a bit.

i really haven't had experience with snuff and fridges, i just store my snuffs in a cool, dry place. maybe other snuff veterans have more stories about the fridge

Humidity and temperature fluctuations can cause the snuff to either dry out or become too moist. Depends on the individual environment. A good number of the containers snuff comes in are perfectly fine for a few weeks storage, where ever, but for long term storage simple airtight food storage containers should suffice. Cool and dark is not really necessary either, just airtight.

And again, that's for long term storage. No refrigeration required :D

I put mine in the fridge because it was/is my understanding that keeping snuff and snus cool keeps the tsna's from getting higher. Is that wrong?
I hadn't heard that one before Axl.

I was under the impression that the temperature required to foster the formation of TSNA's was a whole lot higher than anything the products are going to be subject to outside of the initial manufacture process.

Snuff tends to the dry side, even the moist ones when compared to snus.
Keep snuff dry.

Snus tends to the wet side o' life, especially when compared to snuff. Keeping snus cold to frozen maintains the moisture content and flavor.

For sweet I love the swiss chocolate, the windmill chococreme and wow american caramel.

I do find myself at a cross roads liking the richer complex and fuller snuffs, along with the menthol ones. But then again I like selection.

Same with snus the selection is key some times I need sweet others tobacco.
