With Christmas around the corner I'm looking for a Fully mechanical mod (no wires) to add to my wishlist. The only real requirement is that I can use 18650's AND a kick. So far I'm leaning towards a Puresmoker legacy. Solid build and good price ($105 for the base kit + extension tube). The only thing is that I'd rather have something that uses better materials for the contacts. Doesn't have to be rhodium like a p+ (which is a little out of my price range and doesn't have a kick extension), but copper is a better conductor than brass or steel like the legacy. Any thoughts?

BTW, isn't that correct on the legacy? The positive 510 pin is brass and the switch pin is steel?

I would assume to some extent it does. It's just like my house. It was built in the 70's, and the electrical wiring is all aluminum(or some grey metal). Works fine but if it were built today the wiring would be copper. It's more expensive, but it conducts electricity more efficiently. Same with the contacts on the mod. Better energy flow just lets my kick regulate more efficiently.

Super T makes a "kicklet" that I believe fits the p+ Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products. But may be above what you want to spend

Legacy is a nice choice, make sure to get the extension aswell. Kick can slide in an out without grinding against the threads like in a lot of other mods, battery can be swapped from the bottom, and contacts are easy to clean.. probably don't even have to do that more often than every two weeks. Finish insures no fingerprints, it's grippy, confortable. With no kick you still get good performance at around 3,85v underload with 1.5 ohm single coil and a fresh charged 18650 IMR.
Except for not needing to be cleaned, the rhodium in the P+ makes the voltage drop bit under 3.8 in the same conditions above mentioned, and the kick is far more fiddly when used in it. Battery cannot be swapped from bottom, and that means every 3,5h you need to take the kick out and put it back in. No extension either for 18650+kick. Not a lot of people will admit this after spending 180$ on them.

Yeah, decided to go with the Legacy for my wishlist. My family draws names cause there's too many of us to Christmas shop for individually, so we usually get 1 nice thing instead of a bunch of little stuff you didn't really want. Since it was the only thing I asked for besides a Visa gift card, I figure I'll either get it or get the $$ to buy it. Just under 2 months and my kick'll have a nice new home! My vaping has taken several hits in the last year, several dead egos and the switch on my first and only mod, the Bolt is crapping out after just a month of use. Bought a new switch for my bolt, so that get's upgraded in a few days. All in all, next year is looking much better for me as far as finding that perfect vape.

When you say P+ I am thinking precise+ which does as I mentioned above have the "kicklet" option. Of course $$, but negates your comment about no extension or swapping out the kick.

Or are you referring to a different mod?

Yes, refering to the Precise+ . Kicklet ruins the whole aspect of the mod, and overal price is doubled.
The only thing on wich a kicklet would look ok would be a 26650 pipe probably.
http://forcedfuel50.fatcow.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/3MODKIKLET.jpg 3x the length of an extension sleeve, not to mention there are a lot of mods with random-china connectors that just love to be abused by top heavy things.
Might just be personal preference, but i think this looks miles better Imageshack - picture23m.jpg

Yeah that looks nice.

Agree on the price thing for the p+ and kicklet + the Kick, it is more than I would spend.

Only think about the kicked legacy - does the kick go all the way into the tube first? Or is there easy access to the kick?

I really like something like the bombshell stinger for access to the kick. But the bombshell stinger seems too big.

Battery goes in, and kick on top. The top cap threads are few in number, smooth and beefy, removing the top cap takes a split second and you can access the kick if you change your setting. The tube diameter is different aswell, so the kick gets pushed into position when you close the top cap, but it's easy to get in and out, as the diameter is larger where the threads are. Tube being smaller in that area also insures that you battery doesn't rattle at all against the walls of the mod, wich is a common occurance in many other mods.
Basilray did a solid review wich has nice closeups for more visual info : Basilray Reviews: The Legacy from PureSmoker - YouTube

Works well, but requires periodic maintenance, wich takes a bit of time. Can't be done in 2 minutes like on a Silver Bullet for example.
With the appearance of these top heavy rebuildables, genesis atties, giant clearomizers, it makes a huge difference to have a very solid connector on top of a mod, preferably something machined into the top cap, not china made and pressed in.
