I realized I can't post in the main forums until my 15th post so I apologize if this is in the wrong place!

I'm new to mech mods and have just one, the Kamry 100 and it's been my favorite model over my pen mods (I do love the SVD I have, but a friend I think lost it :( , but I love the durability and ease of use of the Kamry 100).

I'm wanting another mech mod and I've found great prices on the Kamry 100/101's. Since I already have a 100 I was thinking of getting a 101 just to have something that looks different since I trust the kamry's, but I don't know if there are better options in the same price range (I can get a Kamry 100/101 for $25 or a Magneto for $35 for example).

So is it worth the extra $10 to go with a Magneto or should I stick with the Kamry's?

Also I found a Kamry that looks awesome, the Robot V which I'm guessing is new since I can't find any reviews on it, so I'm not sure it's worth the risk if it doesn't work as well as the 100/101's.

In a few reviews the Magneto seems to get better reviews over the Kamry 100/101's but I'm not sure what to get (I only have silver vape's so I was thinking about getting the k101 in red for $25.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Or what about the Stingray? I just can't go over $35.

Also since I've realized that some fluids can crack plastic tanks I need some glass ones cheap. The RGM2 from FT looks pretty good for about $3 each. I have 10 different flavors from MBaker coming so I do need more tanks. I might just order everything from FT but I don't know for example if the Magneto clone is as good as the real one.

I did get an RDA but after a few times of trying I got frustrated with it. Even when it seemed to be working right it didn't seem to taste right. I'm sure I will get the hang of them sometime since I'm really getting into vaping :)

Also for the magneto, I'm not sure if the clones are as good as the smok ones. Same with the Stingray, I see on Ft the clone's are only $26.

Oh, and I think I prefer telescopic's but I wouldn't mind a change if it's better quality.

I've played around with a Nemesis before and I didn't like it at all. It hit well when working but there were so many issues with it.

Welcome to ECF Will.

All IMO of course... ;-)

If you want a glass tank atty that will look like a nice 22mm RDA on your 22mm mech - but without the need to rebuild (for now) - take a look at the Kanger Aerotank Mega clone. They use DC coil head assemblies at about $1.25 a pop.

If you're buying from FT... one of the nicest made mechs they carry is the Infinite Tree of Life.
If you prefer a tele... the Gus Lord clone is, per a friend in Hong Kong, quite nicely done.

Infinite makes great clones. Other clone manufacturers you want to look for are Hcigar and Ehpro. Generally, you should have decent luck with those brands. I think Fasttech carries Infinite clones. Just take a look at the discussions tab on any item you're looking at, and if it's an Infinite clone, someone will often say so there.

Thanks for the welcome! That Tree of Life looks nice, isn't it a clone of a $200 mod?

And that Aerotank looks great, right now I only have iclear 16's, a 30 and 30s. Oh I do have a protank 3 a friend gave to me but it doesn't seem to work well. Also I got a smok Trophy Tank that works decently. I'm also now looking at a Nautilus (clone is $17 on Ft). I just want to make sure there is no gurgling, I can't stand ones that do that.

Thanks for the help everyone, I'm glad I didn't pay the $ for another Kamry!

Hmm, now I see the Sentinel M16 telescopic for only $15 on FT. And the Panzer. And the Maraxus clone.

I mean I'll pay an extra $10 to get a original mod instead of a clone, but it seems that most mods are clones, or clones of clones :p

And it seems most mech mods do about the same thing, just aesthetics differences, and some quality issues like the firing button being crunchy or smooth.

I'm almost leaning toward that Tree of Life one from State O' Flux's recommendation, just want to make sure it's a good clone for the $30 price. (can't tell if the FT one is made by Infinite or not - http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10007876/1692000-tree-of-life-style-mechanical-mod-set

Not too much extra on Ebay and it's an Infinite - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infinite-Clone-Tree-of-Life-Element-Mods-Stainless-Steel-Vaporizer-Mechanical-/161273123897?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item258ca09439

Oh, and if I got the coils for it, what ohm's would be the best? - http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005274/1738302

For $45 I could get both the Tree of Life and the Sentinel M16.

I tend to build RBAs using 0.3Ω to 1.2Ω single and multiple coils... so I have a bit of a bias towards that resistance range. In other words, the balance is IMO. What you do is up to you. ;-)

With an unregulated mech, and a battery of the appropriate continuous current (amp) drain rating (click on my second sig line hyperlink below), you could easily go below 0.5Ω, if/when low resistance coil/head assemblies become available.
Genuine Kanger is already producing semi-low resistance coil/heads (1.2Ω)... and I suspect the sub-ohm coils will be out soon. The clone makers will catch up.

For now, as the clone coil/heads lowest resistance appears to be 1.6Ω, which is relatively mild, that'd be where I'd start. There's no practical reason to use higher resistance coils, as you'll not be (reasonably) restricted by amperage output, with an unregulated mech.

Check out the Kylin mod (clone of the pisces mod). Very affordable, silver plated contacts, telescopes to either 18500 or 18650 and is currently the shortest, lightest tube mod out there that I know of. In 18500 mode, it is shorter than most other mods in 18350 mode. Hits very well. Switch does better if you swap for a stiffer spring. I have three of the little buggers and honestly, I use them far more often than my expensive mods.

Good hunting.

I ordered an aspire nautilus from FT and what I received was a copycat that out of the box had a ton of issues including massive flooding aswell as juice pouring out of the airflow holes. I also made an order of a magneto from FT and after 4 months I still have yet to receive a refund or my product. I recommend proceeding with caution when ordering thru them. I haven't gone back.
