I started with a super mini model a few weeks ago (e-health cig), and already I'm sick of refilling the cart every hour or two. I'm thinking of switching to a different ecig, any ideas on what I should look for that doesn't need to be filled as often? Was looking at the Joye ego...

Sorry if this topic has been done (I'm sure it has) but I've been searching and can't find the info I was hoping for. Thanks all!!

510 or Ego are good choices. They have the largest variety of blank cartos available. And the Ego also has special tank atomizers and tanks for ejuice.

I use cartos on a 510. A cartomizer is a disposable juice cart and atomizer in one piece. If you fill it well and then add juice whenever the vapor gets light or a bit dry then you can probably get 4-7 days or more out of a cartomizer. I have actually got a couple of weeks out of one Boge standard soft-cap carto for 510. You want soft-cap cartos to start. Then you can experiment with more exotic cartos like reservoir ones that need a special syringe.

cartomizers will need to be refilled less ofteni keep some as easy backup
the new egotank or ce2 cartomizers (or clearomizers) will need to be refilled much less often but come with their own intricacies for maintenance.
cartridges are the worst I was refilling em every time I vaped.

do you know what thread format your ecig uses? that would be a good start to knowing what else you could try.
The ego is mainly the battery, it's a 510 format and lasts a good deal of time. If you get one that comes with cartirdges though you'd have to refill just as often. I've seen egos kits with both clearomizers and the tank system recently however

just keep trying various accessories till you find something you can live with.

If you just want to have the e-cig that is the least amount of hassle then go with the kr808d-1 (like a vaporking or a bloog) and then you can just use the cartomizer system very easily with very little maintenance. The kr808d-1 batteries last about 4 hours on a single charge and if that's not enough you can get the XL batteries for them too and add even more time between charges (though the e-cig then becomes a bit longer too).

When I used cartomizers I would end up using between 3-5 of them per day depending on if they were pre-filled or used and refilled by me. If you choose to refill them (which I suggest that you should try to do) then you really only need to mess with them once a day -- fill them all at night and they are ready for you the next day. Screw one on and when it's empty take it off and put on a different one. Easy.

I don't use them but a standard cartomizer would be a good start. Then you can work your way into clearomizers or ego tanks. Cartomizers will be a good step up from carts. Clearomizers perform better and last much longer but require attention and practice to get working properly. So if you are ready to read up on them then I would skip right to them.

Thanks everyone! I spent hours looking at the different options and I ended up ordering a KR808D-1 starter kit:

2x KR808D-1 Manual rechargeable lithium-ion batteries(kr808d battery is 280mah)
* 1x Sample cartomizer, (flavors and strengths vary with availability)
* 1x Universal USB e-Cigarette battery charger (also compatible with many other models)
* 1x 110VAC to USB wall adapter
* 1x Instruction manual
* 5 x prefilled cartomizers in usamix 16mg. (These are not substitutable.)

...along with 30ml Vanilla liquid, 5 pack of premium blank soft cap cartomizers, and a 5ml eliquid syringe.

I have been using 12mg nic and I do think I need something a little higher because I'm still smoking 5 - 6 analogs per day and I get a buzz from them. I hope the higher nic will help me cut out the analogs altogether. But 3 weeks ago I was smoking about 2 packs a day so at least it's an improvement. I also had ordered a very high nic cola flavor (24mg) a few days ago along with a 50pg/50vg mix no nic to cut it down if needed. I guess I will find out from trial and error what nic strength will work for me.

I don't mind changing batteries; I'm disabled so I'm home all day most of the time anyhow. I didn't order an extra battery yet; I want to see how I do with the 2 it comes with and see how they work, plus I still have these super mini pre-filled cartrdges to use up.

I think I will like switching to the manual battery as well...it seems a lot of people prefer them and for me I would like to not worry so much that I'm going to get liquid in it and fry it. I watched the videos for people who are broke as well, and I think that I will soon be experimenting with DIY liquids. Will use my tax refund money to get started with that.

Thanks again everyone! I love love love this forum and wish I'd found it before I ordered the super minis. Oh well, live and learn!

Cartos
Tanks
bottom feed mods

Cartos should last a lot longer than carts between fills, I use a drip tip on my cartos and top off every 10 minutes or so. Tanks can range anywhere between a couple hours to a couple days, filling them can be a little bit of a pain. Bottom fed mods can last a couple days on a single fill and a single battery charge.

I would start with cartos then move down the list until you are happy.

I really do hope so...the carts on my super minis only take 3 drops at a time to fill them up completely. I'm hoping the cartos will take more than that!

Ya, most cartos hold 20 drops or so. I would get a drip tip for easy filling and topping off and if you keep the carto wet it will last longer.

The last cartos I picked up from ikenvape took 30+ drops to fill O.O

It's a good idea to up your nic if you still crave smokes, but don't put too much stock into the buzz you are getting from the analogs. The carbon monoxide gives you as much of the headrush as anything else.

You could use 36 mg and probably still get a rush. The juice will keep you from ever wanting to touch one of those nasty things again. This is coming from someone 3 months quit. It took me a while on eCigs to fully switch over. Stay strong, you'll get there.

Thanks and congrats on 3 months! The last few days I ended up going out for an analog because I was getting frustrated with the refilling, so I think that the new kit I ordered is going to make it much easier for me to stick to the ecigs. I was hoping to quit the analogs by my birthday (a gift to myself) but it looks like it might be a slightly belated gift (my bday is 7 hours away LOL). I think I can, I think I can...

I use a KR808 with Ikenvape mega cartomizers that hold about 3 ml of juice & love it.
Just pop the carto on my Pig Cig & hit the road with confidence.
My son has a eGo-Tank system that takes about 1 ml of juice & loves it so far as he has had it for only about 2 weeks.
Be advised that these systems don't handle 100% VG juice very good & sometimes not at all.
My son & I use 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG only
When I tried to use 100% VG it just didn't work & had to drip it or can it.
The first one I had was a 4081 & just spent all my time refilling also.

Thanks for the tip on the VG/PG...I do have some 50/50 no nic PG/VG coming in case I want to tone down flavors or nic strength, but I will get some pure PG also to help not clog up my ecig. I'm researching the DIY so that when I get my tax refund I can get started...I have an old tackle box that should work well to keep my "chemistry set" in
