wanting to start doing a little DIY

so i've been wanting to start doing some simple DIY juice (one or two flavour combinations at the most). ive decided to purchase FlavourArt concentrates and PG/VG from flavourfog. i do not see any unflavoured nicotine on their site so where would be the best place to find those?

i will be starting with the ejuice iphone app. the default flavouring percentage is 10% with that app so i was wondering if that is pretty much standard? or is that considered to be a LOT (or too much) of flavour?

edit: what is a good local source for PET 10mL dropper bottles? i found a source in china but the price break occurs at 3000 pieces and thats just a wee bit too many for me. i also dont want to pay the crazy $0.30+ each at retail price. is there a local wholesaler or manufacturer that sells them with 1000MOQ or something?

As for the setting on the iphone app I found there recommendation percentages for all the different supplier ie (flavor Art, Capella,TPA.....) to be spot on for me. I also use to make juices for my buddies and they said they couldn't really taste the flavor so I would bump it up a few more %. Best tip I can give is start with small batches and go a little under there recommendations and just add a couple more drops of flavoring if need be.

what kind of hardware should i be getting? beakers? graduated cylinders? syringes? do i need all of them?
i will only be making 10mL batches for myself and a couple friends.

no issues with importing nic base from MBV?

also, how is TPA concentrate compared to FA? is FA worth the extra money or am i better off saving a few dollars with TPA?

First and the most important thing your going to need is gloves.....trust me. If your only going to make small batches i would get syringes and some glass 30ml bottles (30ml Amber Glass Dropper Bottle for DIY eliquid). I use these to make my pre-mix (vg/pg/nic ratio).Then when i am ready i take some of my pre-mix put into a 10ml bottle and add how many drops of flavor is recommend. Trust me start small then work your way up. Like i said taste is a matter of opinion what might taste good to you might not taste great to other people. Thats why mtbakervapor makes it fresh to order because everybody has different tastes and like different pg/vg/nic ratios. As for TPA, I prefer FA and Capella just a cleaner/richer taste in my opinion.

I mix into the storage bottles.

It is also advisable to test your mixes using equipment as close to the setup you normally use as possible.
No use testing a new mix in a dripping atty that is known for super accurate and intense flavour if your daily use equipment is a carto tank known to mute flavours.

Also, consider alternative sources for some of the material. USP vg and pg can be found pretty easily and cheaply at a lot of drug stores. Flavours can be found at some cooking supply stores.

any idea where i can find some 100mg VG base for a good price in canada? PM me if you do. i wanted to get from RTS but they want $47.45 for shipping a 250mL bottle.

Get some safety glasses too, nic is really bad to get in your eyes, i'm sure some flavoring is pretty bad too.

i already have safety glasses that i use at work so i got that covered.
i also have a ton of vinyl gloves (and nitrile gloves) that i use during the summer when im using my smoker for pulled pork.

i also ordered 2x120mL of 48mg VG nic base from another vendor and 500 pieces of 10mL PET dropper bottles direct from china.
i will go to the store to pick up VG USP when everything arrives. i have the safety glasses and gloves already.

am i missing anything?

Measuring devices. Given the 500 10ml bottles I guess that’s your targeted size so you’ll need something accurate to 10ml like the 10ml graduated cylinder FF sells and some small 1ml syringes to be as accurate as possible.

You may want to add a bottle of sweetener, also a bottle of kooada if you want a cool affect to your juice, without a menthol taste. Just a thought.
