Same here! I had no interest either. Just this past Wednesday I was in the local shop and got talked into trying it. Bought a Quasar dripper and built a coil at about .85 ohms and WOW! Flavor and cloud like never before. One caveat I've noticed is I must lung hit in order to get the expected result. Mouth hits produce little vapor but good flavor. Im sure other devices and coil setups would change that which produces reason for this wonderful forum.
Lung hits are always going to give you better vapor production, especially with increased airflow. If you prefer mouth to lung inhales you need 2 things from an rda, the ability to restrict airflow to get a tighter draw and a small chamber.

6 months ago I would have never considered vaping below about 0.8 ohm, but curiosity got me and here I sit vaping 0.37 ohms on a mechanical. The thing is, I enjoy getting a full vape in 1-2 second draws and this is definitely giving it! I can go 1.4 ohm and 4.0 V with my Provari and get a great vape but it takes 5-6 second draws. To me that's the real difference. Vape is warmer at subohm but doesn't get too awfully hot in a couple seconds.

A high wattage device can give that similar vape but on a higher ohm build. I'd prefer to draw fewer amps and get the same experience.

I am sure it is my wicking. I just can't seem to get it right. I use yarn and separate it. I have done 1 thread all the way up to using all 4 and have even gone down on the voltage to 2.9 and it burns. I have even got so far on my gs as to not put the wick through one of the holes and it still gets dry. Lol I end up covering up the air hole flood it some and I am good to go again. Lol always a work around. Anything to keep me off the cigarettes.

I think the cotton from those Japanese pads wick the best in my RTA'S. The fiber is all facing the same direction, which means the juice can follow easier. I wick by rolling just the tip and sticking it through, then pull the rest through, making sure there's some resistance but not enough where pulling it will tip my mod over if I'm not holding it with my other hand. That seems to work each time, and the cotton pads make it easier to get the right amount.

Someone said it's all about your resistance-No.. it's all about airflow and wicking.

Recently dug out my Silver Bullet mechanical and put a dual coil 0.5 ohm on a Patriot rebuildable dripper. Had the air holes drilled out larger. Same great flavor but with tenfold the vapor production and still a cooler vape.

Never say never.

Since you started using a kayfun a lot, I saw this coming. ;)

^haha.. yeah, I'm about to order vg and pg base and use non-flavored.. mainly to support my anti-economic decision to get a 4nine and gus kiss qe+estia for my birthday..and so many atomizers.. plus with the amount of premium liquid I've practically drank, I could've bought a really nice lathe...

now the ipv2..I'm trying to get two, so my girl can use one. She complains each time a new thing comes around I want.. then, it turns to me getting yelled at for taking it from her.:)
