WHY do you dislike warm vapor? Most of us like it, its more reminiscent of true tobacco smoke. With a variable voltage mod, you will be able to get warmer vapor in the higher voltages with higher ohm (ohm is another word for resistance) cartomizers. So with HIGHER VOLTAGE, and HIGHER OHM cartomizers, you will have WARMER vapor. With LOWER OHM cartomizers and LOWER VOLTAGE, it will be cooler vapor. For the coolest vapor, you can TRY a regular resisted cartomizer at a lower resistance, like, set your PV at 3.7 volts and use a 2.5 to 3 ohm cartomizer. IDK what resistance the Blu cartomizers are so I can't tell you what ohm/res range you disliked by using them unfortunately.
You will probably eventually like the warmer vapor, most of us do. But just read what I've written above until it sets in and you should get it. Basically, LOWER resisted cartomizers, will vaporize MORE liquid... Lower ohm cartomizers are cartos at 1.5ohm, to 2ohm basically. You CANNOT use LOW resisted (Low ohm) cartomizers at HIGHER voltages. The best voltage for 1.5 to 1.8 ohm cartos is around 3.7 to 4 volts. The best voltage for 2ohm to 2.5ohm cartomizers is 4 to 4.5 volts. the best resistance for 3+ ohm cartomizers is 4.5 to 6 volts.
By using what I've just told you above, you will get the best vapor with whatever ohm cartos you are using. VV devices are great because you can order whatever resistance cartos or attys you want and no matter what, you'll get GOOD vapor... But typically, if your using higher resisted cartomzers with higher volts, the vape will be warmer than if you are using lower resisted cartomizers with lower volts, but the COOLEST vapor (and the least vapor, by the way) would be using higher resisted cartomizers with lower volts.
I mean, for VERY cool vapor, 2.5 ohm cartos at 3.7 volts will definitely give you that cool vapor... But if you use much higher ohm cartos with 3.7 volts, your basically going to lose out on vapor production completely. For instance, 3ohm cartomizers at 3.7-4volts barely gives me a WHISP of vapor haha.
The only other things to remember are: Dual coil cartomizers have 2 coils, so they produce warmer vapor. BOTTOM mounted coil cartomizers have the coil at the bottom, so the vapor will cool down a bit as it rises through the filler material. Horizontal single coil cartomizers usually have the coil situated at the bottom I believe, and that will produce a cooler vape as well, but, I have heard many bad reviews on these as they do not produce as much vapor as vert coils.
