Warmer weather, warmer vaping rig?

Noob here, only been vaping about 2 months now. Recently, I find I feel/notice the heat on my rig more than I had before. As a noob, I'm only using a rotating pair of ego-c twist 650 maH batteries along with disposable CE4 tanks. Nothing's really changed... I generally vape between 3.8 & 4 volts and change out the CE4s about once a week. My smoking pattern is about the same as with an analog cig. The heat is not to a danger level or anything, but I can definitely feel it more around the coil area of the tank and around the battery switch and sometimes along the battery body itself. Also, I'm thinking the vapor itself is a bit warmer to the point I'm thinking of going to a bottom coil tank now (at first did not think I'd like a bottom coil as I hear they have a 'cooler' hit).

It would seem reasonable that this would become more noticeable since the weather has warmed to near summer temps where I live, but I do wonder if my gear is degrading or something.

Any one with insight?
