Not the greatest first post on a forum but I found out about Nicvape on here and my delivery turned up today, I mixed up the right amounts of PG and 50mg/ml nicotine and after 4 puffs felt like I had smoked far too much. An hour later I put some straight PG only into a different cart and tried again, again 3 puffs made me feel ill. It looks like the latest batch of neat PG has a high dose of nicotine in it.
I would have taken it up with the Nicvape but the domain has stopped working and the only way to contact the chap seems to be on this site.
:(

Edit: I'm using a Tornado tank with the tanks washed out before putting the new liquid in, I then puffed a few drags without inhaling to clear what was in the atty.

just curious on your mixing? Are you adding flavor or is that what the "neat" stands for? Sorry im not familiar with Nicvape, For that high in nic 50mg/ml you should be mixing 1.8 ml of nic 2.2 ml of pg and 1 ml of pg based flavor for 5 ml @ 18 mg/ml. Hope this helps. I too have the Tank and i absolutely love it.

"neat" usually means :with nothing else in it. As in, "I'll have a scotch, neat."

I wasn't sure if I had the terms right. I used the TW calculator app on android to work it out, it was about 37 drops of nic, 85 drops of PG and 13 drops of flavour. To check if something that I had done was wrong I loaded up just the PG (no nic) and had the same problem. I'm usually a heavy vaper but this evening I've gone right off it.

When you loaded up the PG by itself, did you use a different atomizer or the same atomizer?

I'm getting there slowly, I was kind of hoping he would be looking for his company name on here and responding.
I did use the same atomiser which I shouldn't have done but the batch I mixed had a distinct flavour, when that went then it should have been the neat PG (zero nic) coming through. I have now put a tank of the pre-mixed liquid I was using before (TW 18mg/ml) and when it feels as it did before then I'll know all the new stuff is out of the system, then I'll put the neat PG tank on again and see if I end up craving cigarettes or if the thought of smoking makes me feel sick.

Mussels, when you mix this stuff, it is probably better to use the ml measurements rather than the drops- since different size bottles/pipettes and eyedroppers can have different size drops. for example; I have a bottle that is 30 drops/ml, one that gives me 27 drops per ml and another one that needs 33 drops to give me the same ml. If I were to use the 27 drop/ml bottle (thinking that it was 30 drops/ml) for a high concentrate nic, I would be getting a lot more mg of nic in the finished bottle.
You can use a syringe with 0.1 ml markings, or an eyedropper from the pharmacy that has the same type of markings (they use it for kids liquid medicine).
I'm not saying that the original nic isn't mixed too high, but just be careful when using the higher concentrations of nicotine from any vendor.
Then you could do what I did- when I mixed my first batch of ejuice, I flip-flopped the measurements for the nic and the vg- wow did I get a buzz out of that one! Had to go lay down for a bit

Can you tell me the exact name of the app you are talking about? Did you get it thru the market?

Yeah Mussels, please add pg or vg to your mix if you feel it is too high for you. Please do not use drops, as described above droppers or pipettes vary in the amounts of "drops". So, if using anything above say 36mg nicotine to mix your own juice, please purchase a properly marked syringe. They are incredibly inexpensive and necessary. Best of luck.

That's a posibility as I used different dropper bottles, but it's not the reason I experienced a problem when I filled the tank from just one unmixed dropper bottle with just PG in it with no nic.
Anyway I've had my old brand in there for a while and I'm vaping more normally now, I'm going to swap what should be the neat PG back in and see how my afternoon goes.

I haven't had any problems at all with Rich but his webhost is having problems right now..........my deliveries have been prompt and I think the nic is good, the color and smell have been fine.....:thumb:

+1 to using syringes when measuring nicotine, it something you should have dead nuts.:2c:

Sorry Mussels, I misunderstood. So you were just vaping what you think is plain old PG with no nicotine. I do think maybe you should p.m. dustymossy here at ECF, or go down to the February nicvape thread and link this one so he can advise if there is a mistake in labeling or perhaps you were accidentally sent the wrong bottle, or just what the situation may be. It is only fair to ask the vendor, doubt the try to use the "search" function for their company names often. Heck, I can't ever get the search button to find anything for me, but I don't know how to use it properly anyway.

I do know also that his website was making changes and apparantly they didn't advise him of something or he would have told us. I am one of his customers and will continue to be one of his customers. He's been great to everyone and his nicotine is top shelf for me.
I really feel that issues like this need NOT be posted UNTIL they have been addressed between customer and vendor. I feel sorry for ANY vendor to log back in and see a thread like this. I would be quite insulted or indignant with the customer. I'm insulted for him.

Let's just smear them all over the forum, that's works every time.

DISCLAIMER: The above is my personal opinion and not necessarily the opinion of ECF.
