I was sitting in my truck today listening to my radio fairly loud. I have 3 10 inch subwoofers, and all of a sudden it felt like my leg was getting burned by a soldering iron. I pulled out my 510 auto which was burning me, the light was lit up. I turned my radio down and it went off. So be careful when listening to loud music and use manuals haha.

There's a good chance that the pluger (pressure) switch may activate as well due to the sonic pressures of heavy base.

Something similar happened to me at work I was standing in front of the subs at work and felt heat on my chest, had the 510 and 808 in my shirt pocket. Sure enough the 510 was burning up, the 808 was fine tho.
I don't think this happens with kr808-d auto batteries. I did a gig onstage in a bar yesterday and walked around a lot near the speakers as well. No unwanted heat-ups.
you are correct grim, tho i cannot comment on all 808s, I do know the ones from v4l only activate via suction, and wont activate by pressure and audio.
I ran across this same problem today. I was talking to someone with my 510 close to my mouth, or maybe I was talking to my 510, I'm not sure. But, it activated. I was sitting at a table with 3 of us using the same 510's, and my friend mentioned that you also can't put them sideways in your mouth, like a pen. The same thing will happen. Basically, breathing into the vent holes will activate it. Of course, you will figure it out real quick when it burns your lips.
