Warning: some copper no logo Nemesis clone parts are copper plated steel. VapeRoyalty is in discussions with the manufacturer on a solution.

Feel free to move or repost this to other subforums. I don't have enough posts to do so.

If you bought a copper no logo Nemesis clone that is not from hcigar (probably cost $30 instead of $50), you may have gotten one of these mods. In my case, the 18650 extension tube is clearly copper plated, as the copper has started wearing off within 3 weeks. From what I can tell, the main body, button, and top cap are not copper plated, but they might just not be wearing as quickly...

The manufacturer sold these as 100% copper, and is denying they sold the retailers copper plated tubes.
VapeRoyalty has been great through this whole issue, they responded quickly, and have kept me in the loop. They are in discussions with the manufacturer, who is denying they did this, so if you bought one of these, take a very close look at all your tubes and get in touch with the retailer you purchased this from if you think it might be copper plated.
VapeRoyalty said that no matter how this works out with the manufacturer, they will work out a solution with me, and I trust them on that. After some bad experiences at B+M's, it's nice to get this kind of customer service in the ecig industry.

umm, IT"S A CLONE!!!! lmao.

Very true, but the point here is that the manufacturer promised it was 100% copper, and the vendor sold it as such. Lots of people probably purchased this, and should get in contact with their vendor. If the vendor they purchased from follows through as well as VapeRoyalty is, then they will be taken care of, either with a replacement 100% copper mod, or an account credit.

On the topic of clones, this is a no logo mod. I don't want something that fakes being a pricey mod. If someone sold a generic, non-clone, smooth 22mm mod for $60 or less, I would be interested in buying it.

Funny you post this today because i just noticed mine wearing yesterday. Clone or not it was never stated that this is a copper plated nemesis or I would have bough the H-Cigar clone instead.

Yup, that's what I'm looking into doing now. Only a few places have the HCigar with no logos, tough to come by.

Definitely get in touch with your vendor, this manufacturer was lying to them, and I'm sure they'll want to know.

I guess this explains the odd tarnishing patterns. I originally thought it was just an unusual freak of nature or maybe it got over spray of clear coat lol but now it makes more sense. Those patterns are where the copper dripped off after being plated and hung to dry I'm guessing.

That was the first thing I noticed as well. Someone told me that it was a bad clear coat attempt, but this certainly makes more sense.

For all intents and purposes stainless steel is non-magnetic. You're not going to find magnetic ferritic stainless steal unless you're specifically requesting it. Despite your "lower grade" claim, it costs more to produce.

Whatever. I will agree to disagree.

It seems silly though that they would waste SS for copper plating.

Do you like your clone?

Actually yes I do, it still hits harder than my others and has the lowest voltage drop. But my concern is that it will only last as long as the plateing lasts. It would actually be a good thing if it were aluminum since aluminum is more conductive than SS. My suspicion though is that it is SS as aluminum would be much lighter. This mod has some weight to it and with how thin the plating is the copper isn't giving it it's weight. On a side note though Vaperoyalty did get back in touch with me about it and said the owner was reassured that the mod was supposed to be 100% copper and is currently is discussions with the manufacturer. The manufacturer is denying its plated copper and vaperoyalty is demanding that all of their ordered pieces be replaced with real 100% copper.

SS is actually one of the worst metals to use when trying to achieve a good electrical cycle current. Only good reasons for it wide usage is its low cost, low corrosion and high durability. Meaning its profitable, stays shiny and will take a lick'n and keep on tick'n. I on the other hand am looking for a more finer tuned device. Hopefully my preordered copper/red stingray clone will live up to my desires :D
