I just heard last night (in an non-ECF coop thread) that leaky tanks could possibly be the cause of the "Zombie-mode" auto-fire.

The 30watt & 50watt both have a spring-loaded 510 which is NOT sealed on the inside of the iStick. juice getting inside of the mod could cause this problem. This would explain why the 20watt iStick didn't have the same issues, it has a sealed 510 connector.

The distributor (from whom the iSticks were ordered in the coop) is very concerned right now and they are cooperating. They've contacted iSmoka and are awaiting answers. When I know more I will update.

I have not experienced this problem with the two 50watt iSticks I have.

Yep! Mine woke me up at 2:30 in the morning the other day auto firing, 10 sec cut off worked, but it just kept firing again. Couldn't shut it off, had to take the tank off to get it to stop, and even then it was trying to fire and gave the "no atomizer" warning, but kept trying to fire. Finally was able to shut it off. Tried again later, did the same thing. It is now a paperweight. Bought a Segelei 150 limited edition today, couldn't be happier!

Nice. :/
So, I've had a leaky Goblin tank on my 50w istick for the last 48 hours or so. I've taken the Atty off a few times & wiped it off as well as the mod, just out of not wanting to get juice on clothing, etc. But I'm not liking this news.

Even my Ego clearo tanks leak a little into the connection. ...it's just something I've accepted.

Guess I'll be watching things closely.

Yep, unfortunately, a large number of issues :( And I have 3 of them. Autofiring, screens going out, fire button issues, dying altogether.

People got mad at me for posting, but I didn't make them.

People need to know Roxy, good job.

These are the new go-to device recommended for new vapers.
The same crowd that likes disposal coil atomizers.
Experienced vapers know that many times these cheaper atomizers will leak.

I suspect we will be seeing a lot more threads like this.

Vape safe.

I was sitting at my desk a minute ago when I heard a sizzling sound. Looked over to find that my Eleaf 50 was auto firing even though it was off!! The only way to shut it down was to quickly remove the atty. Has anyone else come across this problem?

no, they seem more quality then some 200 dollar devices.

As one who is fortunate enough to be able to have more high end mods that one man could possibly need, they are what they are, a reasonably priced mod. Better than some $200 devices? Not too sure about that but, when they work right, they work very well.

Our co-op host felt they really aren't durable enough for Subohming. I'm sure leaking juice is also part of the problem. They are small for 50W devices and I'm sure subohming may very well be hard on them. I did a bunch of atty switching on mine so they are all running above 1 ohm now. I'm hoping that will help.

Yes, I felt everyone needed to know, which was why I posted, but I guess some felt I wanted to squash their joy.

ugh... just got comfy enough to finally link someone to one for his dad. will share a link to this thread now. been leery about the isticks from the get. should have stuck with my gut. problem is poster mentioned the fire button position on the mvp was a problem for his dad. wanted a button on the end instead of the middle of the face of the mod.

Most people haven't had any issues with their iSticks, myself included. I own 2 20W, 2 30W and a 50W -- all working perfectly fine with no issues or phantom firing. And I plan on adding another 50W to the collection within the next month, even amid these reports.

well if that keeps happening , there really isnt anything you can do cuz it will be related to the micro-chip but maybe you have a ghost in your house who was a cigarette smoker but he found out about vaping after he died from cancer and now he is living the life LOL

I do have a 20W from the end of September that's still working fine. I gave it to a friend a few weeks ago. I think:

1. Its not capable of firing under 1 ohm, and

2. The 510 is sealed so juice can't leak into it.

So, I'm trying to treat the 50W ones the same way now. Attys above 1 ohm and RTAs so less chance of a juice leak.

Thanks for this thread. I was going to get an istick 50w for hubby. I have 2 20w and have had no problems with them other than the fact that the readings seem to be way off. I understand it to be the way they fire so have adjusted to that problem. He most likely wouldn't have had any problems with the 50 but at this point in our life and the way we vape, why take the chance.

I also have 4 mvp 2.0s (3 for me and 1 for him) and we really like them so I went ahead and got him an mvp20w. Neither of us low ohm vape so I am sure this will suit him just fine.
