My name is hanna hadawar, I created the hh .357 but this is not a thread that will discuss it.

I'm posting this thread to get some opinions.

In early march I found a great way to increase the performance of an atomizer. It involved combining a 306 with a 510 debridging dewicking dirrecting airflow efficiently and therefor with the use of steel mesh absorbent material and so on I had great results. My friends and I really enjoyed using these attys so I decided to take some time and do a writeup, without asking for anything in return, so that everyone who wanted to try and make one could do so. I included pictures and descriptive information to make it easy for everyone that was interested in the project.

It proved to be a little more advanced of a mod so people began to email me wanting them made and I made many free of charge. The main purpose was I wanted people to enjoy this improvement.

However what happened was recently I noticed a company offering an attomizer which benefits include:
"Hybrid 306/510"
"Improved airflow"
"More vapor"
"Better flavor"
"Stainless steel wicking"
And that the atomizer was in development since march.....right when I posted my writeup to help the community enjoy something I had worked hard to develop and perfect.

So id like to hear honest opinions, am I stupid for making it public knowledge and should I keep my ideas for my own profits and enjoyment?
Should I have atleast got recognition? Like this idea was thought of by hanna hadawar, thanks for making this possible.

Sory for the long post. Thanks for reading.

Hey thanks for your efforts , but you really don't know , if your the only one to come up , with that idea . If that company is now selling them ( and they are) because , I just ordered a few . That hybrid atty. has probably been in devopment , for at least 6 months or longer . So , in the future , should you think of a new idea , that no one else has . Get a patent , on it . And then you can get your due . I'm a bit of a chef , and it seems like every time , I come up with a new recipe , or idea . Within a month or so , it's on the food channel , or in a magazine . I surmise , that I'm am not the only chef out there , coming up , with new recipe's .

Yeah, I have to go with Rican. There's just no way of knowing if it was based off of your design or not.
It was a great idea just the same. Apply those same principles into an improved design and patent your work if you so choose. I, personally feel that the vaping world is sort of "open source" for lack of a better name, and probably would have handled my design much of the same way you did yours. Put it on the net for the betterment of fellow users.

So, no... Not stupid. Selfless... Yes.

No, you weren't stupid. Unless you intended to make a profit off of your idea, it's not a huge deal. Most of the time, many great ideas are created around the same time. It happens all the time, I don't have the time for historical references but anyway.. no you're not stupid. At least you came up with something that worked well.

I agree, when you are using the same basic materials, it is almost impossible not to come up with the same
designs as others. I have had many thoughts for mod designs that I thought would be unique enough to sell
well, and lamented greatly not being in a position to produce my ideas; only to see someone else come out
with the same design.

yeah actually you guys are right. I know the results are similar but I don't know if it functions the same, it could be completely different. Even if it is the same design, my original intent was to make it available to anyone who wanted it and now it is regardless of who they decide to purchase it from. Thanks for the replies!

Gru thanks for the support! I don't think I can answer questions about the 357 on here cuz ill get booted but shoot me an email ill let u know the details.

Lets avoid any business related chat so as not to jeopardize your standing at ECF. I'm going to close this thread and recommend that you contact the supplier registration officer as outlined on the contacts page. You can of course otherwise participate in the forum as long as you do not talk business.
