The day before yesterday I was a doubting newbie.
The I ordered and received my USB passthrough and started vaping.
It didn't take long before I realized that vaping was a good thing.
Now I want to order the real kit, but feel that I have just wasted money on the USB.

Absolutely not! There is a huge advantage to having the passthrough. When you ran two batteries dry, you can vape off of your PC until they charge!

I agree, a pass through is a great thing to have. I have used one almost everyday at work when I am at my desk. I don't have to worry about batteries dying and I like the 5v vape.

I do agree that you should get a plug in adapter for a wall socket, on occasion I would get a warning on my computer at work that said "USB power surge" so I do not plug it into the computer anymore.

You definitely did NOT waste your money! I find, (at least with my V4L kit, which, sorry guys, never knocked my socks across the room like it seems to do for a lot of people), the carts seem to get at least 50% better tasting when using the passthrough.

That being said, I don't find myself using it a lot because I've had my hand permanently welded to my Ego. 8 hour battery usage and I AM a chain vaper! (Before someone asks, yes, it DID hurt, no, it WASN'T cheap and yes, it WAS worth it...)

A passthru is NEVER a waste of money. The longer you vape, convenience becomes your best friend.

Hell, I have a passthru on my desktop, my bartleby passthru on my notebook, and a USB hookup at work so I can plug and vape.

That way I can keep my batteries charged for when I am on the go.

Bornagainst, you're the second person that mentions here that you vape at work. How does your boss and colleagues respond to this vaping indoors?

I vape at work as well. I'm not obvious about it .. only at my desk and in the restroom. But my office-mate, bosses, and co-workers who do know are completely supportive.

Jan (* who's only issue is avoiding the flavors her office-mate dislikes the scent of *)

So I wasn't sure where to post this, but the title wasted money looked like a good place, as im afraid I did just that....I recently bought a Prado Cig (never again) witch is basically a RN4081. For the first 2 months it was great! I didn't use the liquid it came with, but used the E-smoky treats Cam. This is now the bat doesn't seem to want to activate the atty. The LED will light up, but no vapor. Upon placing another battery on the same atty....boom!-VAP!.....any suggestions on getting this bat to work correctly again? Seems to me if the LED lights up the atty should to. BTW I kinda drip but only enough to prime.

I feel like I have wasted a few bucks myself. Not on a PT, but on other stuff; especially juices. I have bought/tried juices that I never really cared for, even from the first vape. maybe it sounded good on a review, or was well described on a web page. Now, I have bottles of juices that just "never made it" into my rotation. Waste?

But you do still smoke, only in a different way.

I don't smoke; I vape.

I no longer light tobacco leaves and who knows for sure what other additives on fire and inhale the smoke. I now use an electronic device to heat a niquid to the point of vaporization and inhale that vapor. While it might seem like semantics to some, it is not to me. The two behaviors really are quite different even though from 20 ft. away there is no visual difference, in my honest opinion.
